Chapter 24
Swimming
Last weeks of July, year Two Thousand and Twenty Three. I woke up early and told Mama that I will be leaving at eight since I still have to go to school.
Jasen planned to surprise our adviser, he planned to have a little farewell party since we didn't have much time in our moving up ceremony.
I am on the other side of the road and I don't know how to even make 'para' ng sasakyan so Mama joined me and did it for me.
I waited for almost an hour and a jeepney finally stopped in front of me. Nang makasakay naman ay nakatingin lang ako sa hawak kong bag.
I am alone and I don't have a phone to use since my phone was broken. I am literally using nothing.
She stares so damn awkwardly.
Palagi ko nang naiiiwas ang mukha ko sa babaeng nasa harap ko. She was staring at me all throughout the ride and I am so uncomfortable.
Nang mahagilap ko na ang school ay agad akong pumara, but the driver seems not to hear it kaya the girl in front of me did it. I still find her weird and scary but thanks.
Walang tao sa school nang dumating ako kaya umuwi muna ako sa bahay.
[pumunta ako sa school kanina]
[wala pang tao]
[kaya umuwi muna ako]
[balik ako mamaya]
[Cy : oki, nag aabang na rin me]
[Cy : ingat haa]
[ingat ka rin]
Nang sulyapan ko ang orasan ay mag aalas dose na kaya agad akong nagpahatid sa school. I was so so late kaya naupo nalang ako sa gilid.
I stared at them and smiled.
I will be missing this class even though some of them gave me headaches. I will be missing having the same class as my friends and girlfriend too.
We spent time too, tumambay muna kami sa room at nanood sa tv namin. Cy and I had fun too since we were playing.
I will miss this.
"Hoy pumunta ka a, swimming." Sigaw sa akin ni Jasen.
"Paalam mo'ko kay papa." Tumatawang sigaw ko pabalik.
"Tanga, pupunta naman si Cy e. Magpaalam ka na, sabihin mo hanggang alas tres lang tayo ron." Pagkumbinsi niya sa akin.
"Hindi ako pinapayagan kapag swimming."
"Edi picnic."
That made me think, pero napaamin parin ako kila papa na swimming ang pupuntahan ko. I ended up telling the truth since they saw me picking a pair of clothes.
Kaunti lang rin ang siguradong pupunta and that includes Cy, Jasen, Dane, Cloe, Rafa, Mj, Jami, Jim, Alex and I. Yes, pinayagan na ako.
