Chapter Eight:No longer holding Back?

He looked at me and sighed before speaking.

"Y/N, I called you in here to discuss some matters we have at our hands, It was meant to be a private discussion before these two joined in..." he spoke with an annoyed tone, clearly not wanting those two to be in here at the moment (or ever).

"Oh come on horikita senpai, I just wanted to meet our dear first year, who you and every teacher including the director have their eyes on!" The guy sounded a bit sarcastic but also a tiny bit jealous for some reason.

"Fufufufu" the girl laughed, "come on nagumo, you can't seriously be that jealous about kōhai stealing manabu's attention from you" she mocked the blonde who I now know as nagumo.

I wanted to hurry up with this and get on with my life, as it wasn't interesting at all, but the opposite, it was fucking boring listening to these two rant on and on.

"Oi can you hurry the fuck up? Me and Manabu have stuff to talk about, introduce yourself and fuck off"

I glared at them, being so annoyed that I let a bit of my anger out verbally.

"Sheesh calm down Kōhai, anyways, name's Fuka kiryuin, you can call me kiryuin senpai"

I don't use honorifics or the term senpai much at all.

"Yeah I'm not calling you senpai at all, now you, blondie" I pointed at nagumo to introduce himself.

"My name is nagumo miyabi, NOT BLONDIE!" He shouted a bit angry at the nickname but I didn't care at the time.

"Alright go, dismissed, go back to wherever you came from"

With that they left although nagumo was a bit stubborn until Manabu himself told him to leave.

"Now what do you want to talk about, Manabu"

He pulled out some papers from the comically large desk,he then handed them over to me and I looked at the title on top of the paper which read:

'Paper shuffle exam'

I looked at him confused, "why would you tell me about it, it's just another exam it doesn't matter to me"

"Well listen, as there are now 5 classes instead of the usual 4, the system has changed for this special exam.
The exam would usually have 2 classes exchange an exam with questions they made and have the opposing class solve it"

He gave a lengthy explanation about this special exam and how it worked.

"Since now Class S exists, they want to have you take on all the exchanged exams from all 4 classes, if you pass all of them you should be good, although if you fail you will be expelled, so keep that in mind"

He talked about expulsion like it really mattered to me that much, with my monthly income + exploiting some loopholes, I could easily get the 20m private points to revoke expulsion.

"Ne, Manabu,all of you are so afraid of expulsion, it's like you're being held in the hand of the school, controlling you like puppets, like trust me, expulsion is not that big of a deal as you make it out to be"

"Either way you should study a lot so you won't fail, I don't want someone like you to be expelled so early on"

He seemed to have taken a liking to me, most likely due to me overwhelming the school in my first year.

"Well thanks I guess?" He sweat dropped a bit, due to me seeming unsure on how to take his words.

"Oh right also" he began talking again "since the sports festival is close by, I want to compete against you" he boldly stated.

"Yeah sure we can do that, whatever floats your boat Manabu"

He had a stern look on his face before stating:

"I want you to hold nothing back, compete against me with all your strength y/n"

So that's why he was so serious...

Oi Manabu, do you seriously think I'd need to stop holding back to beat you?"

What he said sounded like he thought I'd actually go all out due to me being unable to win with a handicap.

"No, not at all actually, I just want to see you not holding anything back y/n, take it as a test if you will"

"Well whatever, I guess I won't hold back in our challenge Manabu, but please Manabu

Don't try and pussy out when you get humiliated"
