Betrayal tastes like a rotten apple.
Before it happens, the apple is fresh and tasty
But the moment the betrayal happens it becomes rotten and bitter
Betrayal tastes like a rotten apple
A rotten apple so bitter it makes one spit
Betrayal tastes like a rotten apple
For it makes a person rot inside themselve
Betrayal takes home in ones feelings, making a nest and staying there, rotting ones insides
Churning and twisting until one cannot breathe properly
Betrayal tastes like a rotten apple
It tastes so vile it gives one a stomachace.
Betrayal can taste sweet too, but not like an apple, but a strawberry
Sweet like a strawberry it may be, for the person that is not hit with it.
Strawberries are sweet until you reach their leaves
Betrayal is sweet for the one inflicting it until guilt arrives

Now guilt is rotten in itself. It has no taste for its rot is so harsh it demolishes it
Guilt prides itself in eating away a person's very soul and being.
Guilt is the reason so many people fall victim to manipulation.
Guilt is the reason people force themselves to do things they do not desire.
Guilt is the most rotten feeling of all and betrayal follows it close behind.
Both walk hand in hand.
One tasting like a rotten apple and the other one lost its taste, for it's too rotten to have one.
