Bonus Chapter 1

A short one

Karan enters the house tired from a long day at work. He just wanted to cuddle his wife while she massaged his head. But Monami was rushing to get dressed and leave.

Monami drops a peck on his lips.. "Sorry.. there has been an emergency... they need an assistant surgeon."

"Should I drive you ?"

"I will drive myself. Heat up and eat the food in fridge."

Karan freshens up and finishes up his food. Then he proceeds to prepare nightclothes for Monami.

Karan is in a deep slumber when Monami arrives back. She changes into the clothes Karan had prepared and slips into bed besides him.

This was getting exhausting it had only been 3 months to their marriage but due to extensive workload they both haven't been able to go to a trip, weekend getaway or even a single date after their honeymoon. Their works were consuming most of their time.

"I love you" Monami whispers in his ear and his arm cages her close to him.

The alarm rings and Karan grumbles as he wakes up... He finds Monami sleeping peacefully besides him. Dropping a kiss on her forehead he disappears into the washroom and then to prepare the breakfast.

"Breakfast is ready." Karan comes into the room as Monami wakes up..

Monami extends her arms as Karan comes closer so he lifts her up in bridal style slowly placing her on the kitchen stool.

He feeds her slowly.

"You have a day off today and so do I... so I planned a little date for us." Karan breaks the news to her slowly.

"Really...!!!" Monami jumps and hugs him dropping wet kisses all over his face. "I so needed our time."

"Toh ab jaao jaldi se taiyyar ho jaao."

Monami takes a shower and as she enters the room she finds a gift lying on the bed with her name on it.

She opens the gift box and finds a beautiful light yellow floral dress with yellow sunflowers. She applies minimal makeup with some sunscreen.

The first place Karan takes her is to have some coffee in a café located in a garden. This was their first post marriage date and they couldn't stop talking about how it was so different and special. Leaving from the same house and not picking up felt so different. Their relationship had gone through various stages and this one was probably the most special one.

Next they window shopped in a mall for an hour with their hands entwined. Monami didn't want to leave the mall but Karan insisted and she gave in.
Karan drove for the next three hours with romantic music on and windows down. He could not stop appreciating the site on his passenger seat with a head struck out of window and air flowing through her locks. It was the prettiest site that Karan wanted to see throughout his life.

Karan parked the car in parking of a fare. It was held on the outskirts in the desert region. The history behind this fare was that couples who want a long lasting love hid the locks with their name under the sanddunes. The lock that way would always remain in the desert like their love would always exist in this world.

They played shoot the balloons, shoot the bottles, went through the haunted house closely sticking together, got on some rides where they held each other as they screamed their hearts out.

It was finally time they got a lock and their name engraved on it. They closed the lock and dug through a sanddune.

"Karan jitne ups and downs humari life mein aaye hain main chahti hoon yeh lock humesha ek hi jagah rahe taaki humein dobara itne ups and downs ke through na jaana pade."

"Jaise hum itne ups and downs ke baad bhi mil gaye waise hi aur jitne marzi ups and downs ho hum humesha ke liye saath rahenge." Karan drops a kiss on Monami's forehead.

Next they hide the key under another sanddune.

Back home Monami complains about how her manicure has been spoiled and how tired she was. She keeps talking to ensure that none of them fall asleep on the road.

Karan turns on the geyser after reaching home and they both take a long hot shower cleaning each other of the sand with slow kisses in between. The hot water had taken up some of their tiredness so they make love to each other to end their married date in a perfect way.
