Izzy Pov:

We pull up at a massive shopping centre and I'm terrified.I don't wanna go in....

Josh:ready?

I stay silent I don't know what I'm supposed to say ... I'm still shaking and he just kinda stares at me. He gets out the car and comes round opening my door. He knees down next to me.

Josh: we don't have to go in if you really don't want to but you can't just never leave

Izzy: apart from school I never left the orphanage and it was only 3 minutes down the road

Josh: right how about we go in but as soon as you can't do it anymore we'll leave yeah?

Izzy: okay

We get out and when we walk in it's amazing id never been anywhere like it. We walk into a furniture place walking around.

Josh: do you like video games

Izzy: I've watched people play them but I've never played any

Josh: why not

Izzy: they bought us what we needed

Josh: what about birthdays

Izzy: your funny

Josh: oh I'm sorry

Izzy: I was put there when I was 6 so I don't really remember anything different

Josh: well we'll buy you a computer and some games, I'm sure you'll love them

Izzy: what if I don't... then you've wasted ur money

Josh: well you can use it for school work

Shit id forget about school... I didn't want to go back actually I want to be dead but I'm stuck here... everyone hated my at school for no reason. I used to get beat up and half the time I didn't know the names of the people doing it. Everyone knew me but I tried to just keep my head down and get about my day. Never seemed to work tho.

Josh: what's up

Izzy: I don't wanna go back to school people beat me up all the fucking time

Shit i swore... they used to hit me if I swore

Izzy: I'm sorry I'm sorry pls don't hurt me

I stop and stare at him waiting for impact but it never came

Josh: hey it's okay id never hurt you

I nod slowly bowing my head from embarrassment.

Josh: we'll find somewhere else it'll be okay

We talked some more until a group of girls walk past who were from my old school. They were talking until they saw me then started giggling and whispering whilst looking at me... there was 5 of them and I didn't feel safe... i needed to get out. Josh noticed my breathing picking up and looked at the girls who had just passed. He puts arm around me. It made me feel so weak and helpless.

Josh: do you want to go I can call someone to come get you and I'll continue to look for stuff

I break out of his grip and just basically run away ignoring Josh shouting my name. I run out the shopping centre and down an alley

Josh Pov:

How the fuck am I supposed to do this dad thing. The two interactions I've had are her cutting herself and her running away. I go the a silent corner and ring the group chat.

Josh: guys I can't fucking do this shit

Simon: what do you mean

Josh: I can't do it she's just bolted when some girls walked past laughing at her, I think she knew them

Tobi: right we're all on our way. we will help find her but remember just because you're down as the legal guardian doesn't mean that you're doing it all by yourself. We just need to spend time with her and gain a connection we're all looking after her don't worry.

Josh: okay thank you
