Chapter 02: The auditon

Start from the beginning

My mother was someone whom I admired and respected and cared. She taught me to become who I am today, her encouraging words were so helpful on the days I wanted to give up. Without her, I couldn't have become a trainee at all.

The second people, were of course my friends.
They all squealed in excitement, each of them hugging me and telling me congratulations.

That was definetly the most happiest day of my life.

The agency was in Seoul and they let me move in to the dorm soon.

Sadly I had to drop out of school though, my friends and I all hugged and cried together. We all made a promise that no matter how famous we became we would always talk to each other and meet up as often as we can.

Around 20 days later..

I was mesmerized by how big the building was. I was determined to work harder and debut.

May 27th,2021

After 4 months of training, I was told I was going to be in the debut team. Imagine the shock and surprise on my face.

The debut team? Like God.

I had only been training for 4 months so I hadn't really expected to debut that fast maybe like 2 years or so?

I also wanted to see what the song was like and wanted to learn the dance as fast as possible as I definetly didn't want to drag the team down with me.

I was also curious about the members I would be spending the most time with now onwards.

The first person I met was Yun-jin.

She was the only person in the training room when I arrived.

She was eating ramyeon on the floor and looked at me like she was stunned. I think I was too because damn she was the most American Korean I have ever seen!

She was gorgeous and of course I knew her cuz of Produce 48. She was tall too, my height I think.

Quickly after, other trainees came together as well.

The most well known ones being Sakura and Chaewon, they were part of Iz*one before it disbanded, and oh boy they were good.

Chaewons expression was top tier and so was Sakura's dance.

The choreographer sat us down, and explained each of our parts and the dance as well.

She also told us that 2 more trainees would be joining us.

That time, Ruka was also part of our team. She was strong and bubbly and she was the one who had the most common in terms of age with me.

So you can definetly imagine how I felt when I heard she couldn't debut with us. It was a shock for all of us at first actually.

It just made me realise how cruel this whole process actually was.

That night was the first time we all cried together. I think we got way closer after that, after ruka left.

As the days went on, it was harder because we were practicing for our album but the other 2 members hadn't yet arrived.

I wondered what they were like.

Soon, we met them.

Her name was Hong Eunchae. She was the cutest thing I had ever seen. Tall but a baby. Her cheeks were definetly the cutest thing about her and we took time to be close.

I think it was just hard for everyone as we were the first girl group under HYBE.

Soon after Eunchae, we met Kazuha or Zuha as we call her now.

She was also tall and used to be a ballerina.

She was a beauty, like a swan.

We often thought that she looked like a number of celebrities.

Most often Suzy Bae. They looked like twins or at least sisters.

She was Japanese so her Korean wasn't perfect but we helped her as much as we could.

The biggest help was kkura or sakura as she could translate what zuha said to Korean or what we said to her in Japanese.

We kept on training like that for an additional 6 months.

Those 6 months of hardwork, dedication, relentless mentality. We finally were going to debut. All of 6 of us. Our groups name was Le sserafim.

That day, when I learnt our groups name was my happiest moment.

Everything I trained for was finally coming true

All the hardships were worth it.

We were finally going to debut.

I thought all my troubles were over or so... I thought..
