Chapter Fifty Seven

"We'll talk about that after we get rid of the bodies" Alessandro said and moved towards one of the dead bodies

Just then a phone rang and he picked it up from the man. He answered it and put it on speaker

"You can't hide from me. Antonio I will ruin your entire life, I will destroy you all, starting with your little princess. You can run all you want but I will always find you" the voice of a girl which Gabriella identified as Viktoria said and hung up

"Fuck!" Antonio said in frustration

He would gladly lay down his life but he didn't want any harm to befall his sister

"What does she mean by that Antonio?" Alessandro asked as he faced

"She is Maxim's daughter" Antonio answered hesitantly

"Look I'm sorry for putting you guys in danger. It's all my-"

"Enough Antonio. Stop blaming yourself for everything" Domenico cut him off

"Yeah it's not your fault. You have always done what you had to for us, we would be a bunch of ungrateful brats if we were mad at you" Leonardo said whilst trying to reassure him

"Emilio said he had something to say I think we should listen to him" Gabriella who had not spoken ever since finally said

She noticed how on edge Emilio looked, like he was seconds away from passing out. She could tell it was important

"What is it?" Stephano eyed his older brother

"Behave yourself Stephano. Please speak Emilio" Antonio said

"Well you all know Amira-"

"Oh you want to get married to her? Congrats!" Xander said with fake excitement

"Can you let him fuckin speak?!" Alessandro asked in irritation as he smacked Xander across the head

"Well after finding out about Gabriella I went to her house. She was acting strange but I didn't think much of it

The next day when I woke up I heard her talking to someone on the phone. When I listened properly she was talking to a girl who she called Viktoria

She sent Amira to me to get information on our family, she was just using me and reporting everything to the russian mafia. And I urm, I killed her" he rushed out

"What?" They all asked in shock

"Well I did suspect her but this is alot!" Xander said

"Did you say you killed her?" Gabriella asked

"Yes. I couldn't let her live after what she did" Emilio said as he rubbed his face tiredly

The guilt from when he found out had come back again.

"I know it's going to be hard for you all to forgive me, especially you Gabriella. I said so many stupid things but I just want you to know that I am truly very sorry" he said

"Since everyone has something to say. I and Gabriella found out alot of things regarding Viktoria as well" Domenico said, successfully diverting the attention from the uncomfortable Emilio

"What?" Leonardo asked

"Before any more discussions can we please get rid of these bodies. It's making me highly uncomfortable" Matteo said

His face had gone pale as he continued to stare at the dead men on the ground

"Of course bud, sorry about that" Antonio said and they all helped in disposing the bodies and locked up the leader in the basement

"Okay now tell us" Alessandro said as they all sat down

"Well when Gabriella told me about the girl who poisoned her, I assured her that I would do some digging of my own

After my researches I found a strange file with our surname on it. I showed it to Gabriella yesterday, it contained multiple addresses of some gangs and mafias that are our rivals

She's trying to build an army to take us out. Gabriella said she found a similar file on her mission and she took it to her warehouse. It's kept in a safe the only problem is how to retrieve it since we can't leave the house" Domenico briefed them

"Can I see this file?" Antonio asked and Domenico brought the file from his room

"I don't think that's all this file contains" Antonio said with a deep frown as he observed the file in his hands

"What do you mean?" Domenico asked

"Look properly, it looks encrypted. It only reveals what they want us to see" he said as he pointed to the sides of each address

"Maybe getting the other file will make this one make sense?" Xander said with an innocent look

"We'll move back to our house in two days. There's no point staying here she knows where we are, it's better we go home where we have more security than here" Antonio said

"Okay you guys go to sleep it's late" Alessandro said and they all slowly started making their way to their rooms

"Wait Emilio" Antonio said and Emilio reluctantly sat across him

"I'm not mad at you Emilio. You are my younger brother and it is my duty to correct you when you make mistakes.

I'm sure you know what you did to Gabriella was absolutely wrong. It will take alot of time for her to even begin to think of forgiving you

You have to make it up to her, show her through your actions that you are indeed sorry. Your words mean nothing to her right now" Antonio said bluntly

Tears of regret welled up in Emilio's eyes. Chances of his sister forgiving him are close to zero, he wouldn't even be able to forgive himself
