AMBERFANG - THUNDERCLAN

"Duststorm?" The amber she-cat meowed out into the prairie. The dirty-blonde tom stood in the distance, staring out into the rising sun. The wind blew harshly; the trees shook and the grass whipped his tough body. Amberfang tracked forward slowly to not spook the tom.

As she got closer, the sun rise began to reverse. Duststorm began to cower, as if the night was a great predator ready to devour him. Amberfang raced forward, stopping by his side and noticing his petrified face before turning to see what he saw. A big whisp of wind began to circle of the ground, spiraling and towering over every tree in the distance. It twirled and danced, tearing up the grass and tossing it to the side.

Duststorm suddenly yowled and barreled forward, running towards the spinning wind. Amberfang flinched, chasing off after him. What was he doing?! She leapt in front of him, hoping he would crash right into her, but instead, he went right through.

"Duststorm!" She yowled. She tripped helplessly trying to continue after him, but paws grabbed her by her face and kept her still. With a jolt, she woke up.

A blue cat held his paws on her muzzle; he looked as if he wanted to tear her throat out. She wiggled out of his reach, bumping into a nearby sleeping cat, hissing at the tom.

"Shut. Up." The tom bared his teeth, whipping around to settle back into his sleeping spot.

"I will, sorry." Amberfang hissed under her breath, flicking her tail side to side. Was he just trying to suffocate her to death?

A small huff came from the cat behind her, and she quickly moved, giving the small tortoiseshell a quick apology lick before laying in her own spot again.

Amberfang's heart was still racing, aching like she had been running for days. What was that dream for? she thought anxiously. Amberfang looked around the dark den, her eyes resting on a peaceful sleeping Duststorm. His sides heaved gently; his ears occasionally twitching. She sighed with relief, watching him a few seconds more. That dream wasn't real.

She stretched her paws out and licked her lips, curling up in her mossy nest again. A noise shuffled outside the den entrance, and she quietly watched as a dark cat swooped in and stepped around the other cats, blending into the dark surroundings. Amberfang glared at the entrance, trying to comprehend why this cat had been outside.

What an interesting night...
