His eyes are locked with mine, a flame, not of adoration, or love, but of hate, flows through his green eyes.

The depth of fire combined with the dense fulfillment of green is like a forest fire.

Such beautiful landscape, the mixed hues that spread through his eyes, as if each 'tree' was placed with purpose, with intent. Such a beautiful thing, being scorched by the intensity of a burning flame, spreading through the extensive green land. A once bright and vibrant landscape now dull, lifeless.

His eyes used to hold the stars in their containment, a constant sparkle amongst never ending green.

Now, I can't describe them as more than ashes. the remanence of a once astounding love. The scorched trees act as witnesses to what was.

(Four Years Ago)

Charles and I officially began dating two months ago and I still get giddy when he so much as looks at me

"How are you, love?" His dimples appear, his hands running down my arms

My stomach overwhelms with butterflies as our eyes meet, "I'm perfect, you ready?" I smile up at him as he nods, wrapping his arm around my waist to lead us out of the paddock

before we arrive at his car we're stopped by a familiar voice

Lando- "Hey love birds!" We turn around at the brit's voice

"Hey Lando"

Charles- "Hey" I give him a small jab in his side at his lack of enthusiasm towards his greeting

Charles believes Lando's in love with me, he tends to get jealous

Lando- "Are you guys coming out with us tonight?"

"Who's going?"

Lando- "Mick and Alex"

Charles- "Sorry mate, we've already got plans"

Lando- "No problem, see you later" he flashes us a smile before leaving and joining Alex where he's stood beside his car

"I didn't know we had plans"

"I was going to surprise you" He blushes looking down

"It's still a surprise don't worry" I placed my hand gently on his cheek as I kiss him quickly on the cheek

__

We're in a field of never ending flowers, the only sound to be heard is our laughs as we run hand in hand

We stop as we reach a cliff, dropping down to the calm ocean below

The sun is seeping lower into the horizon with every minute, painting the sky in a sunset I would've assumed was fake if I wasn't watching it with my own eyes

"Wow" My hand is still in Charles', his body heat radiating through his shirt filling me with a familiar warmth
