Movie night

"I'm home" I shouted as I walked into the kitchen, I lent on the surface and noticed there was note that had been left for me in Lise's unmistakable handwriting, 'gone to college party be back tomorrow. Dinner is in the microwave. Lise'
' Great' I thought to myself as I walked over to the microwave only to find leftovers from dinner two nights ago, I went upstairs into my room and threw myself onto my bed. Ding dong. The doorbell rung, I ran downstairs only to find startled looking May outside my front door,
"Sorry" she said "my mum sent me to get you"
"Oh, okay" I said trying to figure out why Sam would wants to talk to me while hoping that it had something to do with food because I was not looking forward to having to eat the disgusting dinner that Annalise left for me. Noticing that I was still in my school clothes, I invited May into the living room while I went upstairs to change into some jeans a t-shirt, as I came down I found her looking at the photos that Annalise had decided to decorate the house with which consisted mainly of photos of out family on different holidays. May must have heard me come down the stairs because she turned to look at me
"Where was this one taken?" She asked pointing to a picture of me and Annalise in a swimming pool smiling at the camera,
"In Tenerife, 5 years ago" I said as I reached for my coat and began to make my way towards the door, May followed me allowing me to look the door behind me as we walked over to her house.

"Did you find her then" Sam asked May from the kitchen as we walked into the house
""Yeah" she said disappearing upstairs into her room, Sam came out of the kitchen towards me
So nice to see you again Brooke" she said as I she gestured for me to follow her back into the kitchen. Sam turned back to the stove and continued to pore pare what I could only guess was dinner,
"So, I know this could come across as a bit cheeky" she said as she turned to look back at me "but if you did this for me then you would be doing me a massive favour, and I'm sure May would like it. Normally I would ask Alex but... Would you look after May? It will only be for a couple of hours, I have do to this thing for work, you can help yourself to anything in the cupboards and I--" she said her eyes pleading with me to say yes
"I'll do it" I said quickly cutting her off, not wanting to have to feel like she had to explain herself to me. At this her expression transformed into one of relief,
"Oh thank god! Because I you were my last resort" she said laughing, "come have dinner with us she said laying an extra place at the table. 'Come on its got to be better than that disgusting food waiting for you in the microwave' I thigh to myself, the thrust of it made me want to gage so I eagerly sat down at the table and gorged myself on Sam's amazing cooking. After having what turned out to be a more relaxed and uneventful dinner at the Walker house, I found my self listening intently to the instructions that Sam was giving me as she walked out towards her car,
"Right so May must be in bed by, at the latest 11, and when Alex gat snack from wherever he's been tell him that I will be talking to him tomorrow. Again thank you for doing this Brooke, and May, even though you think you are are old enough to look after yourself you need to listen to Brooke okay?" She said turning to May with a stern look on her face " and don't listen to anything your brother tells you, Brooke is in charge, not him understand?"
"Not like I listen to anything he has to say anyway" I heard May mumble to herself as she waved good bye to her mum as she pulled out of the driveway and sped down the road, we turned to go back into the house
"So what do you want to do?" I asked May
"Watch some films" she said leading me to the TV in their living room "what do you want to watch" she asked me, I looked over at the pile of films in the corner containing The Shining, Cape fear and Scream 2
"Those" I said pointing at them, May went to get some blankets and popcorn as I set up the film so that the first scene of Cape fear was visible. We got halfway through the film, jumping into each other's arms at everything that was remotely scary. Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap,tap. I turned to May
"What's that?"
"I don't know" she said "it probably nothing though" she said thing back to watch the film. Tap,tap,tap. Tap,tap,tap. I turned to a au only to have her crawl over me and run into to the kitchen retuning holding a two frying pans,
"Here" she said handing me one, she hid bend the door and told me to do the same so that we had a good view of the front door. Tap, tap,tap. May started to walk towards the door ready to attack whoever was behind the door, May reached the for the door knob,
"One,two,three" she said as she pulled the door open and causing someone to fall over at our feet. May immediately started to hit him lightly with me until we suddenly heard the figure shout out
"Stop! It's me" I turned the light on
"Alex?" May said as she put down her pan and helped Alex up
"Yeah it's me. Who else did you think it was?" He asked brushing himself off
"A murderer"I replied without thinking earning a smirk from Alex making my face heat up turning it red.
"Oh really" he said as his smirk grew bigger "well now we've cleared up the fact that I'm not then I'm gong to go and get changed if that's alright with you?" He said as he walked up the stairs into his room, he soon came back down wearing his pyjamas which consisted of a baggy t-shirt and trousers.
"So are you going to watch the rest of the film or not" he said he sat down in between May and I,
"No," May said as she walked out of the living room to walk up the stairs "I'm going to go to bed. Night love birds"she said winking at me, I turned to see what she meant and soon realised that Alex and I were sat unbelievably close to each other and were snuggled under a blanket. I turned to stick my tongue out at her just as Alex played the film. As the film was at the final scene Sam opened the door to find me hugging her son for dear life,
"Well this looks cosy" she said turning in the light " awww aren't you too cute together?" In response Alec threw a cushion from the sofa at her but missed because not he did he look away from the TV, embarrassed I stood up pretending to yawn.
"Oh I'm really tired" I said making my way towards the door, in the corner of my eye I could see Alex laughing at my pathetic attempt to fool him,
"Oh of course" Sam said opening the door for me "thank you again for keeping an eye on May. I owe you, so do you ever need anything, you know where to come" she said smiling at me, I said my final goodbyes to Alex and Sam and made my way home.

I finally managed to get into my house after struggling to find the keyhole in the dim light,I quickly got changed into my pyjamas, brushed my teeth and got into bed. Tap,tap. I shot up so I was sitting up right in my bed, I calmed my self down and tried to get to sleep. Tap, tap,tap. I threw off my cover and ran downstairs grabbing a jacket and some shoes, I plucked up the courage and walked over to the Walkers house. I knocked on the door, when no one answered it I walked to under Alex's window,
"Alex! Alex!" I tried to shout quietly, when no one came to the window I tuned to go back inside when an idea popped into my head. I picked up some graves form their driveway and started to throw it at Alex's window. After three attempts at throwing the gravel I turned to head back into my house.
"Brooke?" I turned to find Alex leaning out of his window looking down at me, he looked similar to the way in which he looked when we watched the film together, but now he was topless but was still wearing the same pyjama trousers he was wearing earlier. His hair was sticking out in all directions but he still looked unbelievably good looking,
"What do you want?" he asked,
"Uhmm, can I sleep round yours?" I asked looking at the floor not wanting to look him in the face, I looked up find him smirking at me.
"Awww is Brooke scared? Oh the things you'll do to get my attention"
"Fine if you're not willing to help me then--" I said as he disappeared from the window. His front door opened, to reveal him standing behind it with a smirk on his face
"Come on then Stalker." As I walked into his room I realised that it was the first time that I had ever been inside it, it was unsurprisingly tidy for a boys room which had a double bed in the middle of the room. He sat down on his bed as I lay down on the floor and got into a comfortable position ready to fall asleep,
"What are you doing?"he asked his eyebrows knotted in confusion
"Trying to get to sleep" I said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, he patted the space on the bed next to him
"Come on, get your butt on here." I hesitated for a moment, but his bed looked very comfy and I suddenly realised how tired I actually was so I lay down next to him, as soon as I lay down on the pillow I shut my eyes,
I heard Alex whisper " goodnight Stalker"
a smile slowly spread across my face, then sleep finally took over my body as I fell into a deep sleep.
