I wake up to Wingulls squawking outside of my window and the smell of what I'm assuming is breakfast. I get out of bed, already missing my slowbro slippers, and walk to the dresser to change. "Hmm... there isn't a bathroom connected to my room... and Friede never really told me where one is-" as I voiced my thoughts Delcatty hopped down from my bed and rubbed up against my leg affectionately. "Wanna help me find a bathroom, Delcie?" I kneel down to scratch her chin. I carefully shook Ampharos awake, letting him know that we'd be getting breakfast soon. I put on my clothes from yesterday and left the room with Ampharos and Delcatty at my side.

I groggily walked to what I assumed to be Friede's room and knocked on the door lightly, hoping not to wake him up. As the door creaked open, I was left in awe. Friede was looking down at me while leaning tiredly against the door frame. "Morning (y/n).." he yawned. His hair wasn't in a ponytail like I'd previously seen, instead it messily hung at around shoulder length. Although he had clearly woken up with the worst case of bed-head I've ever seen, there was something so charming about it. Even though his hair was a mess- he was somehow still the most attractive man I've ever met. I couldn't help but stare. He scratched his neck as he spoke to me."Need somthin'?" he spoke in a husky voice that was just barely above a whisper. But it somehow seemed to echo in my mind.

I took a deep breath. "I uh- couldn't find the bathroom. Sorry if I woke you up..." Friede laughed a bit. Did I say something funny? I started to panic a bit, thinking that I'd made a mistake when speaking. "Don't apologize to me (y/n), I should have told you last night." he stepped out of his room (still wearing his pajamas which he STILL looked good in) and led me down the hallway to a door clearly labeled bathroom. I thanked Friede before rushing inside and locking the door.

"Ugh! how could I be so blind! It was right here!" I brushed out my hair with the brush I had in my purse before putting on a bit of make up (also from my purse). Although I was wearing the same clothes as yesterday, they were appropriate for a picnic so I didn't worry too much. I knelt  down to quickly brush Delcatty's fur and smooth out Ampharos' coat. "Alright you two, you have to be on your BEST behavior. Delcatty, try to bond with some of the other pokemon. Who knows, you might make a friend!" Delcatty rolled her eyes and gave me a slight nod. "Ampharos! I know you mean well, but try not to shock or blind anyone by accident." Ampharos let out a cry and nodded enthusiastically. "Alright team, lets do this!"

I unlocked the door to the bathroom and followed the scent of food all the way back to the kitchen. I slowly pushed the door open to see the crew chatting happily and eating breakfast. "(y/n), you're here!" Roy said excitedly while jumping out of his seat to wave at me. I waved back shyly and sat in an open seat next to Mollie and Murdock. "Here! don't hesitate to have some, I made enough for everyone." Murdock slides me a plate before taking a bite off of his own. As I eat, I quietly admire how well everyone gets along.. It's been a while since I had breakfast with anyone other than Delcatty and Ampharos and the chatter was better than our usual silence.

Ampharos munched on the pokemon food set out and Delcatty (reluctantly) followed. "So (y/n), I heard we're goin on a picnic today-" Murdock was clearly trying to make me feel more included in the conversation, I appreciated it. But then I remembered that HE is the chef of the Brave Olivine and I forgot to ask him about preparing food. "I'm so so sorry- I completely forgot to ask you if you could possibly prepare food for it- I-" before I could finish my apology, Murdock interrupted. "Don't worry about it (y/n)! I was just gonna ask what you like on your sandwich so I can make sure to bring some." I breathed a sigh of relief, I guess Friede had let him know after our conversation with Liko and Roy. "oh.. Thank you!" I smiled at Murdock warmly. It looks like I've already made a new friend.

After discussing sandwich ingredients with Murdock and forming connections with the others, everyone went to their room to get ready. We had two hours before we landed in Turffield and I intended to make the most of it! After exploring the ship for the first hour and a half I found myself on the deck looking out at the sky and the surrounding scenery. Everything looks so small from up here, it's kind of peaceful in a way. As I sit and watch the clouds go by, Delcatty curls up on my lap and Ampharos sits next to me leaning it's head against my shoulder. "The breeze from up here is nothing like the one from our window at home..." I softly stroked Delcatty's fur. Ampharos chirped in excitement and clapped its hands. I heard the sounds of a door opening behind me so I turned to see who it was.

Friede sat next to me. "The veiw is great from up here, isn't it?" I sighed and tucked back my hair. I didn't want it to be in my face at such an important moment! "Yeah.. it really is.." I sighed and tried to focus on petting Delcatty. "You're so lucky that you get to see this every day..." I admired the view, it really put me at ease. He chuckled. "I guess, but I'm sure living in the city has its perks too, right?" I looked down. I mean, the city was pretty busy and everything I needed was just a walk away. But recently I felt lonely and trapped in a way. It was nice at first, to be on my own without my parents nagging me about my chores back on the farm. But after 7 years, things are starting to get bland. "Honestly.. I'm kind of dreading going back to it."

Friede looked puzzled. "Oh?" I nodded. "It's just- Although I haven't been here for very long everyone here is so kind and interesting.." I leaned back and looked up at the crystal clear sky. "It doesn't seem like there's ever a dull moment on this ship." Friede chuckled to himself before turning to me. We looked into each others eyes for a couple of seconds before a pikachu darted past us and onto the battle field. Friede stood up and  adjusted the goggles on his head. "Looks like Cap is fired up!" The pikachu zipped around the battle field so fast that my brain could hardly process it. "Woah...." I watched it in awe. "Say (y/n), do you wanna have a pokemon battle?" Friede walked towards the battle field before looking at me over his shoulder and smiling.

I stood up quickly, startling Delcatty in the process.  A pokemon battle against Friede? No way I'd win! Sure I have some tricks up my sleeve.. but I only have one pokemon who would even consider battling and from what I've seen, his Charizard is a pretty hard hitter. Who knows what his pikachu can do! "I- uh-" before I could answer, Liko and Roy were behind me. "Woah (y/n)! Are you gonna battle Friede and Cap!?" Roy said with stars in his eyes. "Well I-" "That's sounds so fun! I wonder who will win?" Liko said cutting me off for the second time. I wasn't too confident in my battling skills but Liko and Roy sounded really excited and I didn't wanna let them down. "Yeah sure!" I hesitantly answered before walking onto the field.
