"What?"

"What?"

Lyney couldn't believe it. No, he refused to believe it.

You...betrayed the House?

"We've been informed that she'll be at the banquet tonight." "Father" continued, expression unmoving. "We'll be...addressing the situation then."

Lyney could only knit his brows in confusion, the leather of his gloves stretching as he clutched his fists tightly.

You were sharing an afternoon picnic with him and his siblings just yesterday, and now you were...gone? You betrayed the house? You're...a traitor?

"I don't...I don't understand." The ash blond was brought back to reality upon hearing his little brother's voice. "She...she wouldn't..."

He watched silently as Freminet clasped his trembling hands together, placing them against his chest for a semblance of comfort. He took a glance towards his sister, who had been awfully silent since they were called into "Father's" office.

The slight tilt of her lips said it all.

"It may be difficult to process such news all of a sudden." Arlecchino let out a sigh, her hands elegantly folded on her desk. "I know she was quite close with you three."

"There must be some sort of mistake." Lynette mumbled.

"Unfortunately, we've collected sufficient evidence of her leave." The woman slid an ominous envelope on her desk, the seal broken by herself not long ago.

She watched silently as the three siblings gingerly took the contents out of its encasing, reading the letter with mixed expressions.

As he continued to read, Lyney couldn't help but pale as he widened his eyes in horror as he finished the last few sentences.

"She...she basically declared war."

+++++++++++++++

He's never felt more uncomfortable in his life—truly, even that one time was unimaginably favorable—as the corset hugged tightly against his waist, a flowering gown covering his legs and reaching the floor.

His makeup was done similarly to how Lynette would usually do hers, and a high quality wig fit perfectly over his natural hair. The ocean blue was a stark contrast to his natural ash blond, and the coral-colored contacts fitted over his violet eyes.

He could only force a smile as he entered the castle-like ballroom, both aristocrats and commoners of the Fontanian society filling the area. The smell of wine and food wafted through the air, and Lyney couldn't help but slightly relax.
