Chapter 8

"You guys excited for this?" America asked us while driving.

"Hell yeah!" Skyler exclaimed with a huge smile, which made us laugh.

"I still have a bit of nervousness, but yes I'm ready for this," I nervously smiled.

"You'll be fine, everyone gets them at their first party," Meghan reassured me, America nodding in agreement from the driver's seat.

"By the way, I love what you guys did for your outfits! Matching with the inverted colors and keeping the focus on the pink top," America smiled while complimenting us.

"Why thank you!" I smiled in response.

The four of us finally pulled up to Justin's house. You could say it was definitely popping off because you could hear the music from down the street. The sides of the streets were covered in parked cars as well. We found a parking spot, and started heading towards the front door. Before we walked in, America pulled us to the side to have a quick chat.

"So, I'm going to only have one shot because I'm going to be the dd, okay?" America stated.

"Okay, got it", Meghan smiled while I nodded and Skyler gave a thumbs up.

"If you guys decide to drink, or do anything, be safe about it, okay?" America continued with her small lecture.

"Okay mom we get it", Skyler replied jokingly and I chuckled.

"Hey I'm just making sure", America protested but then laughed.

"Skyler and I are gonna try to find Justin first to give him the present, then we'll meet you wherever", I smiled.

"Okay, I'll text the group", America replied.

The four of us finally walked in and I was in awe for a bit from what I was looking at. Music bumping and some strobe lights mixing with the somewhat sweaty bodies on the makeshift dance floor. The song playing was a song I didn't really recognize, I think it was a Rae Sremmurd song. Skyler and I broke away from the others to go find Justin. Halfway through the dance area, with the gift still in hand, I spotted Aaron and Brianna in the kitchen. I decided to go over and ask them where he was. Skyler held my arm while I headed to the kitchen. Both Aaron and Brianna looked in our direction when the both of us reached them.

"Hey Brianna! Hey Aaron!" I exclaimed over the music.

"Hey! You guys made it!" Brianna smiled at the both of us.

"Yeah!", I smiled, "Do you know where Justin is?"

"He's upstairs in his room, he'll be down in a sec", Aaron responded for Brianna. She rolled her eyes at him.

"It's the first room to your right from the top of the stairs," Brianna said while motioning where it was.

"Thanks! I'll be right back!" I replied with a smile, took Skyler by the arm again, and headed for the stairs.

It took the two of us a bit to get to said stairs because of the partygoers in the way. We walked up the stairs swiftly, to get this over with. I knocked on the closed door that was the one Brianna told me, waited for a minute, but no response from the other side of the door. I looked at Skyler and she just shrugged.

"Justin?" I asked while knocking on the door again. No response.

I was going to walk away from the door when it opened, and to my surprise there was Justin! However, there was something else that surprised both Skyler and I as well. Justin was only wrapped in a towel, like he just got out of the shower! I had a slight blush when I first saw him like that. When he saw it was both me and Skyler at his bedroom door, he gave us a big, warm smile.
