Yesterday was hectic, all I truly wanted was some peace and quiet. Especially after our little trip to the gym.
How are we going to be able to deal with these people on a daily basis? I questioned myself. It shouldn't be this hard since we deal with annoying people all the time! I continued thinking in my head.
Ding!
The sound of my phone going off pulled me out of my thoughts while I was getting ready for my actual first day. I looked down at it to see who texted me. Unlocking my phone, there was a new group text with two unfamiliar phone numbers. Then, the fleeting memory came back to me the instant it tried to leave. I almost forgot that America was going to make a group chat with me, Skyler, and Meghan. Now realizing who they were, I created two new contacts for them. I couldn't be more grateful for our two new friends who helped us learn our way around the school. After we talked in the pool area, we decided to go by the regular classrooms. That part was boring because you know, math, social studies, science, and every other subject under the sun. When the two girls were done showing us the classroom areas, the four of us went out to the garden in one of the courtyards. It was a spectacular sight to see. There were flowers of every color, ferns of every shape, and even two small maple trees! I knew that if I became overwhelmed, that I might stay out here to calm down. We couldn't go to the cafeteria until after school because that place was packed throughout the whole day yesterday.
Ding! Ding! My phone pulled me out of my thoughts again with the group chat messages.

There was a smile on my face from reading our texts. I decided for today's outfit it was a pair of black distressed jeans, a white polo, and a navy mesh sweater vest over the polo. To tie it all together I added a blue denim jacket as well. Everything but the jacket was from All Saints. The denim jacket was from Gap. I finished putting on my necklaces and shoes before going downstairs to eat a quick breakfast. Skyler was making us some scrambled eggs and sausage links. The kitchen smelled really good, like I was at the best breakfast place in the city. It even tasted like that when I sat down to eat it.
