Tip 1: Creating a good story line

We all know those cliche story lines. They're all over Wattpad and there are even more in the published world. Cliche doesn't always mean bad, though. You just have to have some originality to make up for the overused plot line.

Different (cliche) Plots:

+ Fan Fictions
+ Vampire/Werewolf
+ I fell in love with my kidnapper
+ I fell in love with my best friend
+ I fell in love with my best friend's brother
+ LGBTQ+
+ The usual high school romance
+ Breaking/playing the player
+ Bad boy and nerdy girl
+ Bad girl and nerdy boy
+ The "I can make you fall in love with me by ____"
+ Popular guy and nerdy girl
+ Popular girl and nerdy guy

You shouldn't limit yourself to these plots, though. These are great starting points and they're genuinely fun to write and even read, but don't be scared to step outside of your comfort zone and write something different. Just be consistent with it throughout the story and you'll eventually build an audience. Don't be scared people won't read it because it's different; if you just use the right tags, people will find it and give it a chance.
