Charlie: "yeah maybe, but who really wants to try, the doors of the Hazbin hotel are always opened to everyone and I can assure that it's not a waste of time!"

Charlie stood up and walked away proud of herself while Katie was visibly annoyed and Tom didn't know what to say.  They stopped the broadcast, now the TV showed a "stand by" screen

Husk turned off the TV and looked at the time, 5 pm.
He decided to start a solitaire game, he took the deck of cards from his pocket and started playing.

-time skip-

Charlie and Vaggie were back, Nifty was there too and Husk was behind the bar making them their drink to celebrate the fact that the interview had been a success, maybe now the demons would be convinced that the hotel really worked and someone might try to redeem their self.

POV: ANGEL

I woke up in my bed, the last thing I remember is me, Cherry and Husk on the dance floor.

(Angel's thought) Ugh.. my head hurts like shit

I'm holding my head in my hands and I close my eyes to try to calm down the pain

(Angel's thought) Wait... What time is it?

I search for my phone, I find it in my fluff chest and look at the time. 7;30 pm. I noticed 17 missed calls and 30 texts from Val
I widen my eyes

(Angels thought) SHIT I'M LATE, WHY DIDN'T HUSK WAKE ME UP?!

I get up fighting against the pain, I get ready as fast as I can and run to the lobby.

Charlie, Vaggie, Nifty and Husk are there, at the bar.
I ran towards the bar to get a quick drink

Husk: "what are you doing here?"

Angel: "why didn't you wake me up?! I'm late for work! Val is going to kill me!"

Husk: "You told me, not to"

Angel: "I was drunk, I told you what I wanted not what I needed to do"

Husk: "well then, don't go"

Angel: "when I go back he is going to be so pissed off"

I sat on the stool near the bar, Husk made me my usual and handed it to me

Angel: "fuck it, I don't feel like dealing with him tonight. I'll prepare mentally and wait till tomorrow"

Charlie: "Hey Angel, if you want I can come with you.."

I turned around to look at Charlie, I thought for a moment and placed my hand on her shoulder

Angel: "listen Charlie, I know you care about me and you really want to help me and I appreciate that, but you remember last time, right?"

Charlie frowned and nodded. I rolled my eyes with a small smile on my face

Angel: "come on, princess come here"

I opened my arms offering her a hug, she didn't think twice and jumped hugging me almost making me drop my drink.
Vaggie and Husk were a bit surprised by the sudden confidence I gave to Charlie

It was just a hug, or maybe something I really wanted someone to give me. The princess reminded me of someone really special that I haven't seen in what felt like FOREVER

Angel: "ok ok, enough princess"

She pulled away, she looked really happy she knew that I really trusted her but she wouldn't take advantage of that so I didn't try to push her away.

Charlie: "Ok! Now me and Vaggie are going in our room! See ya both later for dinner, oh wait! Can any of you cook?"

I looked at her with a smile

Angel: "of course I can darling! I'll make something for all of you!"

I was excited, I didn't cook anything since I died but I could still remember some good recipe from what my mother taught me

Vaggie and Husk: "you can cook?!"

Charlie: "that's great!!"

Charlie dragged Vaggie to their room and me and Husk were left alone at the bar

Husk: "you can really cook? Or..?"

Angel: "of course I can! I didn't stay near my mother my whole childhood for nothing"

Husk: "well that's new, will see how good you are"

Angel: "don't underestimate me Whiskers~"

I smiled before sipping my drink, I saw Husk rolling his eyes.
We stay silent. I started to feel the strong headache so I rest my head on the counter.

Husk: "what's wrong?"

Angel: "I have this stupid headache, it hurts so fucking bad"

Husk: "why don't you go rest a little bit more then?"

Angel: "I feel lonely there"

I sip my drink again while Husk thinks for a moment

Husk: "lay on the couch over there then, so you aren't alone"

He pointed out the couch with his finger and I looked over there too

Angel: "good idea Husky, I completely forgot about the couches"

I finish my drink and get up from the stool, starting to walk towards the couch. My hand automatically goes to my forehead

Angel: "fuck.." I mumble under my breath.

I lay on the couch in the most comfortable position and rest my eyes

Husk: "do you want an aspirin for the headache?"

Angel: "you have one?"

Husk: "yeah"

Angel: "yes please".

I still had my eyes closed but I could hear Husk grabbing a glass and pouring some water in it and then walking towards the couch I was laying on.

I sat up a bit, he handed me the glass a d the medecine and I drowned them both together.

I moved my legs to let Husk sit next to me while I was laying down but he sat on the ground

Husk: "don't worry about me, I can sit on the ground"

We are looking at each other intensely and suddenly I feel my cheeks heat up a bit. Fuck. I hope he doesn't notice

Husk: "you ok? Your face I red"

I talked too early

Angel: "uhh, yeah! Yeah I'm fine don't worry about it"

He saw my face suddenly turn red while we were looking at each other, what would he think? I don't know and I don't want to know.

Did I really like him? Was I really falling for someone, again? Would he reject me if I confessed? Probably yes, probably? I'm sure he would reject me. But that doesn't matter now, I need to make sure that I REALLY like him.

While I looked at him I noticed that his pupils had dilated, for cats, dilated pupils meant that he liked something and it was a sign that Husk might like me back... Yeah...
