After three days of being in the hospital, it was finally time for the small family to go home. Carlisle walked into to the room to make sure the young parents had everything they needed before they left. "Good morning" he said as he walked in, a calm smile on his face.

"Good morning Dr. Cullen" Ally greeted as she packed their clothes up, the baby and Paul still fast asleep.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked, he was surprised to see that Ally made such a swift recovery. All her tests they ran on her earlier in the morning checked out and everything looked fine.

"I feel a lot better, thank you so much again for everything you've done for us since Jaxon was born. We really appreciate it" She said with a bright smile on her face. She knew without the help of Dr.Cullen then she wouldn't be standing here today.

"Honestly I was just doing my job. I'm glad you're feeling better. If anything is wrong or concerning you just give me a call" he said causing Ally to nod. He smiled at her before exiting the room.

Paul woke up then, he looked around before his eyes landed on Ally as she softly hummed while packing their bags. She was in a long gown with her hair in a bun but she looked breathtaking. "Ready to go home baby?" She asked, her back never turning to him as she put away the last of their possessions.

"How'd you know I was awake?" He chuckled as he got up and wrapped his arms around her waist, his head burying itself into the crook of her neck.

"I didn't hear your loud snoring" she laughed causing Paul to fake a gasp "what? You snore loud baby"

"I do not!" Paul said as he hugged her tighter

"I'm surprised you don't wake the baby up with your snoring, I'm surprised you didn't wake up the whole floor while we were here" Ally joked as Paul laughed loudly.

"Well I have you know that you.. your perfect" he said as she turned to face him.

"Oh stop with the flattery Paul, you already slept with me" she smirked only to have Paul crash his lips onto hers.

The two shared a loving kiss, fueled by the feelings of finally becoming the family they both have dreamed about the past few months.

"I love you Ally" Paul said as he leaned his head against hers. "I'll love you forever"

"I love you too Paul" Ally smiled before a small whine could be heard from the bassinet the baby slept in. "Don't worry Jaxon we didn't forget about you" Ally said as she hurried to pick him up, rocking him to calm him down before he started crying.

"Well let's get home, I'm sure your mom is anxious to see him" Paul said as he lifted the car seat and their big duffle bag with ease.

"She just saw him yesterday" Ally giggled as they both walked down the hall. Nurses bidding them farewell as they made their way through the ward.

"Oh hey Paul!"

The young couple turned to see a younger nurse around their age walking up to them. She looked to be from the reservation with her tanned skin and dark hair.

"I heard you had the baby! That's exciting!" She exclaimed as she peaked at the baby held in his mother's arms. "Oh he's so cute"

"Thank you" Ally said politely even though she had no idea who this woman was or what relationship she had with her boyfriend.

"Oh I'm being rude, I'm Samantha. I'm Paul's cousin" the woman introduced herself, Paul looked at her with such disdain that you would think she would be six feet under by now.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Ally" Ally introduced "I've never meet you before" she said with furrowed brows as she looked up at Paul.

"That's because she's no one important" Paul said "let's go" he said before making his way through the ward again.

"I'm sorry about him" Ally said with an apologetic smile.

"No worries, I expected as much. My mother never let me go around him anymore when his mother left..." Samantha said "I was hoping we could get passed it but it seems to me that he still holds some resentment towards me and I get it. It was nice meeting you though, and congratulations" Samantha said before walking off again.

Ally sighed before walking through the ward again and to the elevator where Paul was waiting for her. "I never knew you had cousins" Ally stated as they waited.

"I don't" Paul said roughly causing Ally to be taken aback by his sudden mood change. Paul noticed this and quickly tried to calm down. "I'm sorry.. it's just a lot to unpack with that and I rather just celebrate our son for right now."

"Okay" Ally nodded, she didn't want to push Paul to open to her about something that clearly sets him on edge. She knew he would talk to her when he was ready.

"I hope your dad made his famous brisket, I've been thinking about it since he mentioned it the other day" Paul said trying to change the subject.

"I hope so too, he hasn't made it since Masons graduation party" she said as they got into the elevator.

Paul was happy that Ally wasn't one to pry. She knew better than to insert herself into problems that had nothing to do with her and he was thankful for that. He was thankful to have someone like her not only in his life but as his imprint.
