Star's pov
My heads pounding. I slowly open my eyes and expect to see my room. However that is not the case. As I try to take in my new surroundings I'm confused on where I am. And how I got here. It's dimly lit so it's hard to see. I do notice that there are four beds that are chained from the wall. And it seems this "room" can be better described as a cell rather than an actual room.

"Would you look at that newbie is awake at last." A chill went through me at the sound of this voice. It was hard and rough sounding. Not really the "nice to meet you let's be friends" voice.

I look in the direction to see a person covered in grey fur. He has large teeth and large ears, as well as a tail. He is wearing a white shirt, jeans, combat boots paired with a leather jacket . I look at the other two in the room and notice them looking similar to just more bulk. Then I look at myself there is no way I look like them. Right? Wrong I have grey fur and I see a tail. I feel at my head and feel I have ears, like the other three in the room I'm sure they are similar in shape. I am wearing a grey crop top, leggings, and converses. I mean not completely out of my style except I don't wear crop tops and I definitely don't dress without a jacket or sleeves.

"Who are you?" I ask in a strong voice. Remember don't show weakness. Keep your emotions hidden so no one can take advantage again.

"Well sweetheart, names Max and we are the ones who can get away with anything here." Max answers while moving closer to me.

"Where are we then?" I ask getting in his face.
"We are in Hell. At a Hellhound adoption center." He says smugly. Wait did he say Hell? Damn I just thought that Hell was just some fake place that was told about to try to fix society. Shit this is worse than I thought "What do you mean Hellhound adoption center?" I ask watching their body language.

"You know, as Hellhounds with no family we are put here. Often times the ones looking to adopt one of us. Use us for jobs. Usually as body guards however sometimes the jobs are worse." Max gives me a "are you dumb"look. So that means this is common news I'm starting to think that I may be in an odd situation if I don't know any of this information

Another Hellhound opens the door to our cell with some trays interrupting our conversation. On the trays seems to be some sort of meat, vegetable, and milk. None of it looks or smells good to eat.
"Here is the food make sure you eat all of it as there are no more meals for the day." She says before walking out after throwing the trays on the
floor.

"Well Newbie, this is what is going to happen we are going to eat your food and you can starve. Do we have an understanding?" Max says daring me to say no.
If we say ok then we are a push over. This will mean that to them it will be easy to get whatever they want from us. However if we say no even though we don't want the food then it shows that we are not afraid to stand up for ourselves.
Ugh I hate it when you are right.
I'm always right! What do you mean?
That! That right there is why you don't get any capital.

"No I don't think I understand what you mean Max." I say taunting him.
"Oh so that's how it's going to be? The hard way? Alright then just remember you asked for it. Boys show the little sweetheart why we get to do whatever we want." Max all but growls at me with annoyance.
