Doctor: Hello, did the two of you decide?

Faith: (getting up from my seat) Yes, we will be leaving. Thank you.

I got up to leave the room and made my way to the car. After a little while, Noah began to trail behind me. Silently, we got into the car and headed back to his house.
After getting there, we parted ways and I went to the bedroom bathroom to take a shower and change into some of Noah's clothes as he proceeded to cook.
When I was done, I went into the kitchen and saw that he was putting the finishing touches on his food. I sat on the bar stool and watched him.

Faith: Noah.

Noah: Hm? (As he made our plates)

Faith: I love you. (Smiling) and-and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to grow with you, I want to marry you, and I want our child to grow up in a two-parent household and be loved. What's important is that we have each other, and I could care less about what other people think of us.

Noah: I want to do that same thing, darling, but I simply can't do it right now. (He turned to bring me my plate and then rested his hand on the counter) You are the one person I want to be with, but you have to decide.

Faith: Decide on what?

Noah: About the baby. It's either the baby or me.

Why would he make me choose? I love him so much but I want to keep my child. I want to prove others wrong.
I know my child would love me more than anyone would love me, but if I chose Noah then I will regret killing my child for the rest of my life.

Faith: I'm not choosing (as I began to eat).

I looked up noticing he was getting frustrated, I could see it all in his eyes.

Noah: Well, what's the point of you staying here then?

Faith: huh?

Noah: (mocking me) HUH?! I said what's the point of you staying here? I'm not raising a child right now, so you might want to find out what's your plan tonight cause you gotta go tomorrow. (Taking his food and making his way to the living room)

I was so heart broken, after all the stuff I did for him and with him, I gave him every bit of me and pulls this? But he was just like everyone else, worried about what the church may think. Instead of waiting till tomorrow, I quickly finished my meal,  grabbed a bag to store snacks, and rushed out the door.

He didn't notice because I left out quietly.
I decided to let the lord lead me so I got into the next bus and from there on I made it to Chicago. I had to block Noah's number because he was ringing me nonstop.
Thankfully, I was able to find a shelter online, where I moved in and remained until I was able to find a place of my own.

Fast forward *

Staying at the shelter I met many people. They helped me so much with my career and finding a place. I was now living in a jacked up studio home but at least it was something. My momma would send me money and made sure I was good but I refused to take it and sent it back to her.
I met a guy named Dray, he overheard me singing once and wanted me to come sing in his studio. I wrote songs but never recorded it.

Once I got there he looked over many of my songs but there was one in particular that he wanted me to sing called "Ain't Nobody". I wrote that after leaving Detroit. After leaving Noah, I was heartbroken. He treated me so well and I knew I wasn't going to be loved like that again.

Dray: You ready?

I nodded my head, throwing the headphones on and began to sing..

Faith: "And I can't get enough of your love..
There ain't no.......
Ain't nobody who can love me like you do,
Ain't no reason that I'll ever be untrue,
There's no need for me to try
I can't find the reason why,
Ain't nobody who can really love me like you do"

Once I was done I felt so good, it was like therapy to my soul. I looked at Dray who was dang near bouncing out of his seat.

Dray: We going to be rich!! We're going to be rich!! (As he hurried into the booth to give me a hug) I promise to make you famous.

I was finally doing something I loved, which made me smile a lot. He edited it when we were done recording it, and the following day he released it. At the time, I was unaware that he did.
I was writing while seated on my bed when my phone began to ring constantly. After a few rings, I picked it up to find out who it was.

Dray: FAITH!!!

Faith: Y-yes? What's wrong?

Dray: FAITH!! YOUR SONG HAS BEEN ON EVERY RADIO ALL MORNING!

Faith: Wait what?? (I stated this in disbelief, getting out of bed with my growing baby bump)

Dray: YESSS!! I got calls from record labels and they want you! I went with "Chicago Recording Company," as they wanted you to record an album by October, which is in two months, and then they wanted you to go on tour!

Faith: DRAY YOUR LYINGGG!!! ( I said in disbelief)

Dray: Babygirl I'm so serious!!

Faith: OMG YESSSS!!!

I started to sprint around the house and jump up and down.

Dray: (laughing) Slow down, girl.

Faith: Wait, what about my baby? My due date is in November

Dray: The label said they are going to help you with the baby so you don't have to worry!

Faith: Thank God! (I said in relief)

Dray: This is only the beginning!

This wasn't my favorite chapter lol but many more to come!
