"Emancipation from who?" Cheryl glanced around the room, rising from her seat after John B's failed attempt to flee. Marley stood up as well, her attention fixed on John B. If he decided to make a run for it and managed to succeed, she'd be right there behind him, "There's nobody here but you."

"Uh...asylum, then." John B shrugged.

"On what grounds?" Cheryl quirked a brow.

"On-on solid grounds. On holy grounds." John B stuttered, and even Marley sent him a look of confusion, "Look, I feel real-real prosecuted right now by you and..and especially mr. big head over here. What are you looking at, bro? you gonna tase me or something?"

Marley noticed John B's growing agitation through his tense body language and the sharp glare he directed at the imposing police officer. When John B attempted to make another dash for it, he resorted to throwing cereal at the officer before making a run, only to be caught in a headlock. Marley furrowed her brows, instinctively stepping forward and pushing the officer with all her might in an attempt to force him to release John B.

However this seemed to only anger the officer more as his yells for john b to stop resisting and Cheryls shouts for the aggression to stop filled the room. Marley pushed the officer again, but he barley moved with his moved weight being more than she could handle. She turned to Cheryl, her jaw clenched and eyes cold, "Tell him to let go."

"I'm trying." The woman's eyes widened briefly as the commotion began to subside slightly, her expression shifting to one of cautious observation, "Just relax, John B."

"Okay, okay. I give up." John b groaned as the officer held him on the ground by his knee.

The officer rose cautiously, wary of any further attempts to flee. John B stormed off to his room, packing his bag in frustration. Marley remained in the living room with the officer, while Cheryl positioned herself by John B's door, keeping a watchful eye on him as he gathered his belongings. Marley couldn't help but shake her head as she overheard John B shouting at Cheryl, dreading the thought of being escorted to the station now.

Marley shot a glare at the officer as he roughly guided her into the back seat of the car, his hand firmly gripping her arm. Though she wasn't in cuffs, his forceful manner irked her. She found herself seated in the same police SUV as John B, both of them relegated to the back as the officer started driving them towards the station.

As they traveled, Marley's mind raced with plans to contact JJ to pick her up before their father caught wind of her station visit. The mere thought of their father fetching her sent shivers down her spine. She snapped out of her reverie when she noticed John B staring at a picture of his father, his expression devoid of emotion. He then glanced at her, offering a subtle nod, causing Marley to furrow her brows in confusion.

She watched as John B dropped the picture out of the barely open window, allowing a slight breeze to filter through the back seat. He shook his head frantically, exchanging glances between Cheryl and the officer, "No, stop, stop, stop, please stop! My picture, it's the last picture of my dad, please!"

"Not gonna happen, kid." The officer grumbled, his sunglasses obscuring his eyes but his mouth twisted into a malicious smirk as he turned to look at the boy.

"Dickhead." Marley muttered under her breath, knowing this was part of some plan concocted by John B during their ride. He had sent her a nod earlier, preparing her for it, "Just let him get it, man. What's the harm?"
