Han was persistent on reminding me who I was, and where I came from. Did he ever have any sympathy on my past? Just a few days ago, I was a simple, lonely person. But now, I'm going on a mission to find the Paul Muad'Dib. I was confused about how his name got over the planet as fast as it did.

For two days, me and Han walked through the sands of Arrakis, in search for a Northern Temple that was to hold a few hundred Fremen. The ones that didn't chose the side of Paul Atreides.
Why? I had no idea.

All I do know is that I was headed in the exact direction I thought I'd never go. North. There were criminals in the North, per my father. He would tell me all sorts of stories about the horrors of the Harkonnen's, and how I should never get involved with them. His warnings were always ominous, filled with tales of betrayal, manipulation, and cruelty. But despite his warnings, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the mysterious and powerful Harkonnen family.

As I grew older, I found myself drawn to their wealth and influence, and I began to secretly seek out information about them. I knew my father would be furious if he found out, but I couldn't resist the allure of their power.

It always made me wonder why they were such bad people.

"Is your water full?" Spoke a voice, knocking me from my thoughts. I look over at Han to see he was staring at me. I reach down and pull the water hose out from my nose, droplets falling off into the dry sand below.

"It's fine. Besides, I'd much rather die than be stuck out here." I say, meaning every word. Han stopped and gave me a sour look. I chuckled at this. "Calm down. You don't have to act so wise all the time."

"Though, I do. Otherwise, you'd be at the bottom of a ten foot pool of water by now." He says.

"What!? I wouldn't have even been in that mess if it weren't for you!" Said I.

"But who is the one who followed a stranger into a dark cave?" Asked he.

"Umm, maybe because a thousand foot tsunami Sand Storm was coming my way! Which, by the way almost killed me! That cave was my only shelter."

Han turns toward me, holding up a finger in my face. "Wrong, again. You act upon instinct, (Y/N). You run from your problems instead of facing them head on. That is going to be your downfall."

His wisdom made me cringe, and I could not listen to it anymore. He might've helped me discover some truths about my being, but he is nothing more than a blip to me. Sooner or later, he'll walk out of my life.
Just like all the rest. And I'll be alone again.

That thought made me shudder in the heat.

"You know, what was the point of even finding me?? I'm never going to be what you need me to be." I say.

"You already are. You are the leeway between good and evil. But it is who you must be the one to choose who you want to me."

I really hated riddles. We pressed on, walking through the desert planes of Arrakis. The sun beat down on us mercilessly, and the sand seemed to stretch out endlessly in every direction. I could feel the grains of sand creeping into my boots, making each step more uncomfortable than the last.

As we trudged on, I couldn't help but wonder why we had embarked on this journey in the first place. The promise of riches and glory seemed like a distant memory now, replaced by the harsh reality of our current situation. But we had come too far to turn back now.

Suddenly, a voice broke through my thoughts. "I have cities, but no houses. I have mountains, but no trees. I have water, but no fish. What am I?" My companion posed the riddle with a sly smile, knowing full well my disdain for such puzzles.
