Iman Kadesha Baptiste was born to Victoria Baptiste, who became a mother at the age of fifteen. Unfortunately, Victoria had adopted a promiscuous lifestyle influenced by her friend Charlene. As a result, she got involved in substance abuse and engaged in intimate relationships with older men who provided her with these substances. Victoria had a firm determination to maintain her fast pace, undeterred by any obstacles in her way. Even the presence of her infant daughter, who remained under the care of Victoria's mother receiving proper attention and nurturing, did not hinder Victoria's resolve. After coming back home, she made it clear that she was permanently leaving behind both her family and Philadelphia.

Furthermore, she asserted that she would be taking her six-month-old baby girl along with her on this new journey. At the age of sixteen, Victoria embarked on a journey from Philadelphia to Los Angeles with her baby in tow. She held onto hopes that this move would bring them both significant opportunities, envisioning herself gracing silver screens and appearing prominently in magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan. However, Victoria's dreams did not come to fruition as she encountered difficulties in establishing her career. Despite these challenges, she persevered due to the responsibility of providing for her child.

If acting or modeling didn't pave the way for financial stability, then perhaps manipulating men into supporting them financially would be her alternative path. Iman's upbringing involved Victoria investing in her daughter's career from an early age. This investment included participation in beauty pageants, attending acting, singing, and dance lessons, as well as being featured in catalogs for little girls' clothing. As Iman matured, she started earning money for both herself and her mother through these ventures.

Iman, now in her twenties, finds herself devoid of personal ambitions. She recently made the decision to abandon her studies at Juilliard following the advice of her mother.
