I opened my eyes and looked at the small figure lying over me , her head on my chest , hands on either side of my body , legs tangled with mine . I smiled seeing her face crushed on one side and her lips were making a pout .

I feathered her hair lightly , moving her hairs strands aside I kissed her forehead and slowly turned around to make her lay down comfortably on the bed . She then wrapped her arms around me stopping me from going .

Trying not to wake her up I stayed in that position only . Her head was on my bicep and her legs were now over my waist , hands clutched on my kurta

I held her closer to my chest and stroked her head . Looking at her i remembered what she told me about her earlier . Honestly I was shocked to hear that she was adopted but there was something big that she was hiding from me and from everyone. And I have a very strong feeling that it is related to her father because the way she behaves infront of him is very different to what ansh told me . She looks scared of him and it's definitely not because he's strict or cold , it is something more than that . The way she shivers when he's around , the way avoids him and he's also somewhere looking at her with some different kind of emotion and it does not looks right , idk if aunty and bhabhi or Aditya noticed it but something is off about these two.

I sighed , everything is messing my head and the answer of all my question can only be given by two people either Mr Sharma or by lavanya.

I didn't slept well before because all the time she kept moving in her sleep making me wake up from my sleep and now I'm again feeling sleepy . My eyelashes felt heavy and idk when I got drowned back in my slumber .

I woke up with the sound of someone laughing and giggling. I opened my eyes and saw maa , aunty , bhabhi , Meera looking at me but Meera was not at all happy like if someone snatched her favourite toy and when I looked at them they all bursted out laughing . I scrunched my nose and asked in my sleepy voice

" Why are you all laughing?"

Maa took a deep breath calming here down along with others again except Meera but who cares about her

" Dear Devar jii , what are you doing here ?"

She asked in sugar coated tone smiling and I looked at her getting confused about the situation. Later she signalled to my side and I looked there to see Lavanya sleeping but the thing was that she was under my kurta with me as the kurta was a little loose and she was slim so it might be very easy for her to get inside

But realising that others were here , i looked back at them and again they all bursted out laughing very loudly . Due to the noises Lavanya moved a little in her sleep and snuggled more into me .
