Jennifer's POV
It's weird that the cake girl walked out of the elevator with Harry. But I let it go.
I take a look at her and she wears this beautiful necklace again. I really love it, I wonder what happened with the one on Harry's office.
"Where are you taking me?" he asks and holds my hand, heading me to the exit.
I smile and hold his hand too "Surprise" I say and we walk off.
It ain't any surprise, we just go in the restaurant two blocks away and sit down.
"Jen, this weekend I need to go on a work trip" he says as we eat our meals.
"Oh.. Where?" I ask curious.
"Umh.. Salt Lake city" he snaps.
"Oh okay.. If you need to go.. "
He just nods and we continue to eat.
Harry's POV
It's Friday and everything is settled up for tomorrow. Dakota and I are going to Hawaii for two days. In the morning we're leaving.
" Are you sure you don't want me to pack your luggage?" Jen asks.
"Yeah, it's alright. You can rest" I say as she flopped on the bed. She looks tired, but she's alright.
Jennifer's POV
Harry just left, it's not like I miss him but I feel a bit lonely without him.
The kids are with my mom and I'm all by myself.
I play with my phone and I find Ryan's number. Oh, David's teacher.
I called him. "Hey, Ryan?"
"Oh hello Jen, how you doing?" he says lively.
"I'm good, yeah, do you wanna go out? I mean, I wanna talk about David and school, if you're not busy of course"
"Oh sure, you know this cafe a few blocks away from your mom's building?" he lives in there too, remember?
"Uhm nope, but we can walk. I will be there in a few" I giggle and hung up.
Jennifer's POV
We're here in the cafe. Drinking coffee and talking about school things.
"You're really beautiful, Jen" Ryan says out of nowhere.
I blush and smile. "Thank you, you're not bad yourself too" I giggle.
Are you kidding me? He's like a Greek God.
We're in the middle of flirting when my phone beeps. Oh, it's Leah.
Her words hit me. "be careful with Ryan"
I answer the call and talk with her. "You know this lottery thing? Where you can win a trip for two to Hawaii?" she says so load, happy and excited.
Oh yeah, she won it.
"Did you win?" I ask as load as she is talking.
"Yes!"
"And you're calling me to tell me that I'm coming with you in Hawaii?" I tease her.
She gets quiet. "Nope, I'm bringing Angelo but the next time I win it's gonna be you"
"Okay, I can't wait! " I giggle.
" We're already at the airport, I have to go"
"Have a safe flight and call me when you arrive " I say and hung up the phone.
Harry's POV
We love it here. We spent the day on the beach, swimming, taking selfies with the new phone and making out.
Tonight we are going in a fancy restaurant.
I do all of this just to show Dakota that she ain't just a mistress to me.
"here is really nice, Harry" Dakota says softly.
"I'm glad you like it" I say and smile.
"Wait for me, I gotta go to the comfort room" I say and put the napkin on the table.
"I thought it's a girl thing" Dakota teases.
"Shut up, I need to pee" I giggle and leave the table.
As I wash my hands I hear the door open and I peek at the mirror.
Holy Jesus Christ. I low my head down, hoping he didn't see me.
It's Angelo! If Angelo is here that means Leah is here too.
If they see me here I'm screwed. Fucked up. Done. Dead.
He goes to the toilet cabin and I quickly walk out of the comfort room.
I throw a quick look at the dinning hall and I don't see Leah. Maybe because it's dimmed or because it's crowed in here.
I strall to our table and sit down, continue my dinner and talk with Dakota.
Leah's POV
"Are we ready to go?" Angelo asks as we finish our dinner.
"Uh-uh yes." I say and we get up to leave.
As we walk to the exit I notice another couple to leave. I stare at them, I dont know why. Wait, is it Harry?
I look closely at him and he really looks like Harry. But after a beat of a heart he is gone.
I have to call Jennifer. I dial her number and wait for her.
"Yes Lee?" she says kinda wasted.
"Jennifer? Where are you and Harry?"
"You called for that? I have a terrible headache, Leah"
"Jennifer are you lying to me? Just now I saw Harry here in Hawaii. Are you guys here too?"
"What? No. Harry is in Salt Lake city and Im at home, trying sleep"
"Jennifer I saw him and he was with a woman. I thought it's you" she insisted.
"Wait, I will call him" I say and hung up.
I call him and wait. "Yes Jen?" he says calmly.
"Hey baby. How are you?" "I am tired Jennifer, I was about to sleep. How about you?"
"Im good. I got my usual headache. Funny thing, Leah thinks she saw you in Hawaii, but I told her you're in Salt Lake city" I giggle.
He stays silent for a moment. "Oh that's impossible" he giggles. "You know, I have to sleep. Tomorrow I have a meeting at 7am"
"Okay goodnight Babydoll" he hungs up.
I heard waves through the phone, and in Salt Lake city there's no ocean. Im starting to suspect this son of a bitch.
