5. Battling Through the Pain

Feeling tired from the late-night dance and function, Akshi reluctantly dragged herself out of bed. With a yawn, she made her way to the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face to wake herself up. Despite the exhaustion, the anticipation of the haldi function filled her with excitement.

After getting ready in her beautiful outfit, Akshi went to wake up Riya, who was still fast asleep. "Riya, wake up! It's time for the haldi function," she said cheerfully, gently shaking her friend awake.

Riya groggily opened her eyes, blinking in the morning light. "Ugh, do we have to?" she mumbled, burying her face in the pillow.

Akshi laughed, pulling the covers off her friend. "Come on, Riya, you know you don't want to miss out on all the fun," she teased, trying to coax her out of bed.

With a resigned sigh, Riya finally relented, dragging herself out of bed to get ready. As they got dressed, they shared some lighthearted banter and exchanged stories from the previous night's events, their laughter filling the room.

Before heading out, they took a few selfies together, capturing the moment and preserving the memories of their time together. With smiles on their faces and excitement in their hearts, they made their way to the haldi function, ready to celebrate the joyous occasion with their friends and family.

As they walked further into the venue, Riya couldn't help but steal glances around the room, hoping to catch a glimpse of Ranvijay. Akshi noticed her friend's subtle attempts and couldn't resist teasing her further.

"Still searching, huh?" Akshi quipped, a playful twinkle in her eyes.

Riya rolled her eyes, trying to maintain her composure. "I'm just... um, surveying the scene," she replied, attempting to sound casual.

Akshi smirked knowingly. "Surveying for a certain someone, perhaps?" she teased, nudging Riya with her elbow.

Riya blushed, feeling caught. "Okay, fine, maybe I'm keeping an eye out for Ranvijay," she confessed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Akshi grinned, enjoying her friend's reaction. "Ah, the truth comes out!" she exclaimed, nudging Riya again. "Well, I'll keep an eye out for him too. We can form a search party."

Riya laughed, grateful for Akshi's playful attitude. "Thanks, but I think I can handle it," she replied, feeling a bit more relaxed.

Their playful banter continued as they made their way through the bustling crowd, exchanging jokes and teasing each other along the way.

As the haldi ceremony commenced, Abhay searching the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of Akshi amidst the function. Ranvijay, sensing his friend's restlessness, approached him with a knowing smile.
