June's pov
" I texted her a zillion times! I even called her! She's not answering!" Skylar said.
"This is it people! For real. Our first Rainbow High test, our big Fashion show! And we have no fashions! Violet said.
"I need to find a happy place! Sunny said with her hands on her head.
"She said she could handle this on her own and be on time!" I said.
"We need to find Amaya! She is full on missing!" Ruby said.
"Not active on socials either! Not anywhere." Poppy said.
"Our first test, our first big runway show! If we have no fashions, we fail! We get cut, booted, xed, dead!" Sunny said.
"This never would have happened if Bella was here! You know that, right? Never!" Jade said.
"Ten minutes to runway. In your places in ten minutes." Mrs. Wright said over the speaker. Everyone screamed in fear.
"Verdict, we're doomed. But it didn't start out that way." Violet said.
No one's pov
"Hi hi from Vi Vi! If you've been following me, you know what's up! We're stepping in for day one at Rainbow High! The number one visual arts high school anywhere! So who's ready to check it out-" Violet said as she and Sunny walked through the corridors of Rainbow High. She stopped when she saw The A's "Woah! Do they go here?" Violet asked.
"Nooo, maybe?" Sunny asked.
"Excuse you. Are you, staring at us?" Avery asked.
"No!" Violet said.
"A little." Sunny said.
"Violet Willow. I'm shooting my online reality show, The Vi life. I'm sure you've heard of it." Violet said.
"Um, no. And you can't take videos of anyone here without permission." Aidan said. Violet took three clipboards and pens from her bag and handed then to The A's.
"Permission forms. I have five-hundred thousand followers across all social media. I'm a platform, for real." Violet said.
"Hi! I'm Sunny Madison! Violet's BFF from forever. Can you believe we both got into Rainbow High? We're like, talent twinzies!" Sunny said.
"Right, except, maybe not "twinzies". I'm digital media focus, and she's computer animation." Violet said.
"Wait, I know your names. You're on our floor. We're your prefects, the upperclassmen in charge." Avery said. They handed the clipboards back to Violet.
"And when The A's are in charge-" Aidan began.
"Avery, Aidan and Ainsley." Ainsley continued.
"You never know what'll happen." Aidan finished.
"You'll find out though. Your rooms are through there and up two flights. Later." Avery said. The A's turned around and left.
"Woah. Hashtag Rainbow High goals!" Violet said.
"You heard them! This way, come on!" Sunny said. Sunny and Violet headed for their dorms. "You heard them! This way, come on!" Sunny said. She found the room and began ro read. "I found it! Sunny Madison, Poppy Rowan, Skyler Bradshaw, June Dawson and, that's it! No Violet Willow. I don't get it. We requested the same room, and the form said Rainbow High honors requests." Sunny said.
"Oh, you know what? After I filled out the form, I gave it to my mom. I bet she forgot to send it in. Oh look, they put me over here. It's the worst, but if we each meet new people we can intro! More friends for us both!" Violet said and pointed to the plaque with her name on it.
"I guess." Sunny said sadly.
"I'm so sorry! I'll tell my mom she messed up big. Let's unpack and catch up later!" Violet said and entered her room.

"What's up? Scared to meet your roommates?" Jade asked startling Violet.
"Fire!" Ruby said. She and Jade high fived. "Hi, I'm Ruby, Jade, Bella. If it makes you feel better, Jade got me with the makeup too." Ruby said.
"Cause my makeup skills are so good, it's scary." Jade said.
"Hold up! You're Violet Willow? My social feed lives for you!" Bella said.
"Influencer street cred! Selfies going on your account. Hold this." Ruby said and tossed a shoe to Violet. She caught it and took a look at it.
"You painted this?" Violet asked Ruby.
"Custom kicks! It's what I do. One of the things I do. Everybody, bring it in!" Ruby said. They got together.
"Yes! First day selfie. Totes on my Rainbow High day 1 checklist." Bella said.
"Say "own it"!" Ruby said.
"Own it!" They all said. Ruby took a picture.
June's pov
"Sunny! June! Poppy! First year orientation's in ten minutes. We should get going." Skylar said and walked out of their dorm.
"Coming, Skyler!" Sunny said. We followed her. A phone beeped. "Ooh! It's me. Remember how I told you about my best friend, Violet? She just posted." Sunny said. She opened the post. "Aww." Sunny said sadly.
"She can still be your best friends, even if she meets new people." I told Sunny.
"I know what'll make it better. I dare you to be sad when you listen to this." Poppy said. She took her phone and played cheerful music. They walked to the classroom. Poppy paused the music right before entering the classroom. We walked to the others.

"I'm Lou Wright, head of school. Welcome to Rainbow High, where you will learn the tenets of glam, grit, love, action, and moxie. I've put you in your runway group, which is also your advisory group, the team that will make or break you this year. Now everyone look to your left, now look to your right. Not all of you will make it to the end of the year. And the first challenge you'll face, our first semester runway fashion show. Fail that, and you can kiss Rainbow High goodbye." Ms. Wright said.
"They're gonna kick us out of Rainbow High! This never would have happened if Bella was still here! You know that, right? Never!" Jade said.
"So that's how it started. We had no clue what was waiting for us, but it'd be the most incredible, and intense, journey of our lives." Violet said.
