chapter 16. What if ?

I nodded and he left and I closed the door.

I tried to work again but then I didn't and laid in my bed with a fear of again facing a nightmare. I closed my eyes but after a while a few muffled voices of laughter echoed outside of my room. I am not scared of ghosts but voices are my weakness as they happen to be in my nightmares.

I got up and put my ear in the door. And the voices were none other than Lavanya 's and her friend throwing a shayari line like some poetry, to which Lavanya threw a fit of laughter and her friend stopped her saying she was standing in front of my room.

Her laughing seems to be my favourite melody now.

She doesn't laugh like this with you.

She will.

Yeah after seeing you she doesn't even talk properly.

But she smile with me and on me

I feel pity for you Ruhaan.

And I feel ashamed that you are my mind. Bastard.

They both ran from where they were standing making me chuckle which I rarely do but she made me do it.

She is healing you see!

I said to my inner self and turned to get back to the process of sleeping, her laughter ringing in my head like a sweet melody and in no time sleep engulfs me with my anger towards My mind's rubbish blabbers.

Nest Morning

A knock disturbed my slumber, a groan Left my mouth when I got up and moved to open the door, if it's not important then the Person needs to face me today.

Already slept late and Now this!

Before I even opened the door a familiar figure jumped on me in the name of hugging.

"Disturbing my sleep for a hug, not fair!" I said Hugging back him.

"Everything is fair in Love And War. Bhaiya" Said Yashvan with his beaming smile and red cheeks.

I broke the hug and asked "Why are you red, did someone flirt with you?"

"It's not necessary to be a flirt for me to be too red! It's just I couldn't adjust with India's weather" He said rubbing his right cheek With one hand another in his pocket.

"Don't know, come inside!" I insist

"When did you landed?"

"Little late, the flight was late"

"Hmm"

"Water?" I asked

"No. I am fine bhaiya"

"It's great to see you after so long" He said with beaming smile.

"Me too Yash" I said with soft Eyes as I don't smile.

"Still that Grumpy, Angry CEO huh?"

I glared at him with a straight face to which he said " Oh! Come On. Don't give me that look."

"What's with you? still that Smiling CEO and Head of billions huh?"

"Yup" He said smilingly and sat On the drinking slab of the Suit.

"Do you drink those?" he asked, pointing his finger towards the alcohol and beers, which was behind him on a big wall.

"Only to get a slap from my father at the age of twenty nine. Yeah sure" I replied.

"Remember that slap?" Yashvan threw a fit of laughter, the whole room echoed from his voice of loud laughter.

A knock interrupted us. I marched to open the door. I opened the door and a fully dressed in lehenga Anvi came in my view. She was jumping with excitement of god knows what.

"You still haven't gotten ready yet? She said that in the last of her words, getting high pitched.

"It's 8 in the morning. What do you--" she didn't let me finish and ran inside in the room when she saw Yashvan sitting in the slap, sniffing Every bottle of beer.

"When did you came Yash Bhiaya?" She jumped on him to which he lovingly held his sister and spun her around.

"How are you Anvi? By the way, you look beautiful in a lehenga dress" He said admiring our sister, which she really looks Adoring.

"Thank you bhaiya but when did you come?" She asked with a pitched voice.

I narrowed my eyes "Are You done brother-sis? You just ignored my words Anvi"

Both looked at me but again continued with their conversations as if I am not standing here.

What the heck? They just ignored me?!

"Early morning but why are you so dressed? Any rituals today?"

"Oh god bhaiya today is the wedding. Ruhaan bhaiya's wedding!!!" She squealed And jumped again.

"What a lazy groom? Tsk.Tsk" Yashvan shook his head at me

Shit. My wedding!
