"And about Lavanya, I know she will listen to you, why are you afraid when your not the one, who's at fault?"
"Because only few trusted me at that time." I said remembering how only my parents and Rishi and Yashvan believed my words.
"Do you trust yourself?" I shrug my shoulder as I don't know what to say.
"Then first trust yourself, then every damn person will"
"This is not who I am, why do I always end up being vulnerable at the mention of this topic?" I said with a crack in my voice in the end, directly looking in my fathers direction who was already looking at me with helplessness.
"Because this part holds a boy who tried to fight back but failed, but when he came back as a man he didn't leave anyone to speak a word against him and won." he says making me realise that I didn't get vulnerable but I did fight back stronger than before.
I nodded with a long sigh making circled patterns in the glass.
"Yashvan is coming." he says changing the topic while saying the most exciting topic at least for me.
"I know." while sighing heavily.
"He said he will live early, just after your wedding"
I nod.
Yashvan Mehrotra is an example of perfect sense of an enthusiastic person in every small little thing. He is an easy going Guy with a sharp Of timidity. His calm face And always smiling mouth is a relevant truth Of how positive minded and confident businessman he is. He was the one who decided To move away with me, from Our country for a long time like seven years ago.
Although he has his own problem of love life, which has always been an enigma to me and obviously To our whole family. But he is not a caprice Person like me, rather he deals with everything with a smile, to which I even doubt if it's genuine One or not. And somtimes his shyness makes its way.
Yashvan Is 3 years younger than me. His timidness Is a show To watch. Especially in front of his humorous Parents, Aditya Chacha (uncle) and Madhu chachi (aunt) who joke around all the time. And he always felt amusingly embarrassed because of them.
"He has changed now. Not a boy with white shirt and jeans, jaggling a backpack here and there but carrying a charming personality wearing coats, blazers." says my father pressuring the word changed.
"I know getting the award of the most 'Handsome Businessman Of The Year' in Chicago is not a matter of joke" I said With a small smile reflecting the proudness I hold For my little cousin, to which my father agreed And laughed.
"Why does he hate India?" He asked suddenly I don't know what to answer.
"I don't know, he never told me much, not even in Canada, he has his own secrets!" I Replied
We both flew to Canada, he for his higher studies and me to learn self development and business. But when I came back to India to join my father's company, Yashvan shifted to Chicago.
"When is he coming?" He asked again
I looked At my watch and Said "precisely in the next two hours, his flight must Be landing at midnight."
"Hmm" He nodded.
"Ruhaan."
"Hmm" I hummed this time looking straight at him.
"Everything will be alright." he said with a genuine smile.
"I hope it will." I said back with a small smile which was genuine.
"I shall move now, your mother must be waiting for me!" He said and got up and I did too to accompany him to the door.
"Good night papa"
"Goodnight Beta, and try to avoid pills"
