As they drove back home, Y/n could feel the tension in the air. She looked at Jungkook, trying to read his expression, but he kept his eyes focused straight ahead.
"Jungkook, what's going on? Why did you speed up like that?" she asked again, her voice shaking slightly.
Jungkook remained silent for a few moments before finally speaking up.
"Y/n, have you ever thought about us? About what we are to each other?" he asked, his voice low and serious.
Y/n's heart skipped a beat. She had thought about it, of course, but she had never dared to voice her feelings out loud. She looked at Jungkook, searching for something in his eyes, but he kept his gaze fixed on the road.
"I-I don't understand what you're trying to say," she stuttered.
Jungkook finally turned to look at her, and Y/n could see the intensity in his eyes.
"I'm saying that I can't stop thinking about you, Y/n. Every time I'm near you, I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. I know it's crazy, but I can't help it. I love you," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
Y/n felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes as she looked at Jungkook. She had never seen him like this before, so vulnerable and raw. She reached out and touched his hand, feeling the warmth of his skin.

Jungkook's expression fell, and he pulled his hand away from hers.
"I understand, Y/n. I shouldn't have said anything. I'll just...I'll just go," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
As he opened the door to step out of the car, Y/n grabbed his arm.
"No, Jungkook, don't go. I...I feel the same way," she said, her voice shaking with emotion.
Jungkook turned back to look at her, hope and disbelief warring in his expression.
"You...you feel the same way?" he asked, his eyes wide.
Y/n nodded, tears streaming down her face.
"I love you too, Jungkook. I have for a long time," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook's expression softened, and he leaned forward to take her in his arms.
"I can't believe it. I've been wanting to tell you for so long, but I was afraid," he said, his voice muffled against her hair.
Y/n hugged him back, feeling like the weight of the world had been lifted off her shoulders.
"I'm glad you did, Jungkook. I'm so glad," she said, feeling like the happiest person in the world.
