Thierry awoke the Wednesday morning in the hotel room, the shower was going but William sat beside him, reading the book Elias had gotten translated for them. Thierry guessed that Joseph was in the shower, after all the sweating he did last night he would need it. William turned to look towards Thierry as he sat up, “Good morning, how was your rest?” He asked.

“It was fine, how was yours?” Thierry asked, William tilted his head and laughed quietly.

“Must have been if you are speaking French, My sleep was fine,” William replied and leaned forward. Thierry dodged the kiss so it landed on his cheek, which William didn’t seem to mind.

“Morning breath, not right now, Will..” Thierry mumbled, sitting up a bit more and bringing his body back enough to lean against the headboard with William, who had moved back to his original position. Thierry peaked at the book and saw William's right hand, the golden band wrapped around his ring finger. Thierry laid him beside Williams and they both stared at their wedding rings, which were known by others as their rings to their wives, but to them, it was their own.

Of course, they had two girls who were willing to play the parts of their wives for them, each being the other one's sister just wanting to see her brother happy. William leaned his head against Thierry’s and Thierry leaned into it, smiling. William turned towards Thierry and snuck a quick kiss, which Thierry anticipated and allowed.

The shower stopped, pulling those two out of their moment. Thierry moved to sit on the edge of the bed and stretch while William went back to reading. After a few minutes, Joseph walked out and looked at them.

“Are we heading back to the library tonight? To learn more?” Joseph asked, laying his folded night clothes on his bed.

“I think so, but isn’t it dangerous seeing as someone vanishes every Wednesday?” Thierry asked, Joseph froze and gulped.

“Oh.. I forgot about that..” He laughed anxiously and gulped.

“I’m sure we will be fine in the library, no one has gone missing in there,” William assured, closing his book after slipping his bookmark into it. Thierry left them to talk as he walked into the bathroom to take his shower.

°°°

They arrived 30 minutes early, so Elias decided to wait with them. Thierry noticed an air of anxiety around him, well, around everyone. Everyone seemed jumpy and on edge today, keeping their distance from everyone else as if they were allergic.

“Thierry?” Elias asked, causing Thierry to slowly look at him. “Are you sure you guys don’t want to stay with me and my family? It is truly dangerous and me and my family always bring in those who don’t feel safe,” Elias suggested again, for the fourth time in the past few minutes.

“Elias, please. We understand the dangers of this day and we will be cautious.” Thierry tried to reassure him, causing Elias to look around and sigh, nodding in defeat.

“Come on, Thierry!” Joseph called, Thierry looked over at him and he stood next to William. William was speaking with Kagan about the architecture and Armond was impatiently holding the door open, tapping his foot, and staring at him.

Thierry waved Elias goodbye and nodded his thanks to Armond, who nodded back. Ms. Gilbert greeted them all with haste and they watched as Kagan and Armond peaked their heads outside of the library. Once confirming no one was outside at that time, they closed and locked the doors. Ms. Gilbert watched as they closed every window and checked every exit.

“Now,” Kagan stated as he finished closing the last window, “I am sure we will all be safe, just everyone try to keep an eye on each other.” He assured everyone before sitting down at one of the middle tables, crossing his leg so his ankle was on his knee, and picking up the book he was constantly reading whenever Thierry and the other historians saw him.
