it is not proud

Silence.

Twin flames burnt out, suffocating.

Waiting for exhale to relight.

Two simple words,

One less than those muttered million times over.

Yet two needed to prove the three true.

Surely justified,

Surely actions right.

If you'd just come around,

We could put down the knife.

When final word is the ultimate win,

Two outcomes possible become present.

1. Both stubborn in dead silence,

Riotous anger, or mutual violence.

2. One gives, unwilling to sacrifice.

Vice hidden stays,

Festering day by day.

The other side of this coin of pride,

Not forcing agreement,

But worried for corporate stride.

How will you benefit me?

Will you get me ahead?

Achieving goals,

Enhancing portfolio for Death?

Measuring soul and body,

Boosting ego to be sexy and unique.

Pointing to qualities gratifying.

Subtle difference between using and satisfying.

Manifested subconsciously.

Happy, peaceful, intriguing.

Love is not proud, but it is self-centering.
