(Shawn's POV)

"Alyssa, wait up!" I shout, yanking open the handle to her car passenger seat.

"Walk faster." My girlfriend says, moving her backpack so I can sit down.

"Shawn, get your own ride." My younger brother, Fisher calls from the backseat. My younger brother, Fisher calls from the backseat. He looks a lot like me, with freckles, braces, and a stupid crooked smile, but with wavy hair and hazel eyes. He dresses differently too. Basic white boy but somehow slightly feminine.

"This is my ride." I scowl, shutting the door. "This is my girlfriend's car."

Drew, Alyssa's younger brother, makes a face. "Dude, your brother is dating my sister."

Drew's one of the weirdest people I know. Ginger curls, squarish silver glasses, dark layered clothing. He bakes. He doesn't look like a baker, but when I tell you that the streets of Heaven are made of his chocolate cake, I'm not kidding.

"It is super gross." Fisher agrees.

"Hand me your water bottle."

"No, stupid. You should've brought your own."

"Give me the-"

"Ow- Drew!"

"Andrew, quit it." Alyssa says. I smile.

I've known Alyssa since middle school. We were really great friends until this February when we kissed at a party and we just started hanging out more. I really like her and the feeling is mutual.

A few of my friends had a thing for her, which is totally understandable. She's not annoying, but has an actual sense of humor. Not like those other girls who talk shit about other people and think it's funny. She's also really pretty, but doesn't try to make it obvious and wears only a little makeup. She wears looser jeans and always wears her short strawberry-blonde hair in a ponytail. Today she has on a Hello Kitty tank top with pink lace around the collar and a grey hoodie.

"You all set?" She asks.

"Yeah." I lean over and kiss her cheek. "Thanks again for this."

"Yeah, of course. Fish, stop kicking my seat or I'll turn you into sushi." She starts driving, turning out of the school parking lot.

"Ooh, sushi sounds so goooood." Fisher says. "We should get sushi- Look, Drew! Golden retriever!"

"Aww," Drew says absently.

"Sushi is so good." Fisher says. "Wait, what about Chinese food? Oh, Alyssa let's get Chinese food! Wait, I meant sushi. I think sushi's better."

"No isn't," Drew says.

"Yes, it is." My brother says firmly.

"Okay." Drew says. "Sushi sounds great, Fishy."

I grin. As much as my brother gets on my nerves, I'm glad he has a friend who goes along with Fisher's ADHD energy. Or at least ignores it.

"I dunno, I'm kind of craving a burger," Alyssa says.

"Shut up," I elbow her. "Don't add another choice. We'll never leave this car."

"Oh, yes! Burger, please!" Fisher cheers.

"I hate you," Drew says to him.

"I love you, too." He cooes. Drew rolls his eyes.

"I'm cool with just going home, Alyssa." I shrug.

"I'm not cool with it," Drew says.

"Your vote doesn't count," I say, opening Alyssa's phone.
