How do I detail how important you are to me?
You, with your beauteous courage and empathy,
Selflessness never lived as it lived in you.
Hard workers glow with success at the end of their odysseys,
But you shone in your simplest days.
Constellations could wheel and the night could turn above us,
But I would only ever see you there,
This silver moonlight cast on our skin.
I write of you as a living imprint on my world,
Because you touched other people's lives. Whose memories I gladly share,
Whose love I treasure in my heart.
