"I'm planning to bake cinnamon rolls ngayon. Hintayin mo?" I informed Denzel. It was my own, subtle way of inviting him to stay a little bit longer ngayon. Friday naman kasi.

He shook his head guiltily. "Babalik na rin akong school e," he said. "Tutugtog din kami sa party.  Late kaming nasabihan kaya nag-rurush kami."

I'm pretty sure I wasn't able to hide my frown because Denzel place his palm on my forehead. Natawa siya.

"Cute mo." He smiled. Ayan na naman 'yung smile niya e. He know I can't resist it! "I'll update you okay. Dederetso na lang ako dito pagkatapos namin. I'll bring midnight snacks."

Wala na. What am I to do? Ang galing niya mag-assure e! Plus, I'm pretty sure his offer is better than mine. Aakitin ko na lang siya manood ulit ng Gilmore Girls.

"Okay, fine," I rolled my eyes in a joking manner. "Enjoy ka. I'll bake para you can taste it na later."

"Yes, ma'am."

Pumasok na ako nung hindi ko na matanaw 'yung likod niya as he walked back to school. Ni-lock ko na 'yung pinto since I'm used to my doors and windows being locked by 6pm when I'm alone. 

I changed into a comfier clothes, aka white shirt and sweatpants before going to my kitchen. I've already bought the ingredients online kaya nakaayos sa small box sa counter ko 'yung ingredients ko. Blasting Gracie Abrams's minor EP, I started on my cinnamon rolls.

I was able to hold my phone nung naisalang ko na sa oven 'yung mga cinnamon rolls. May text from Denzel. I think nasaktuhan ko 'yung break nila.

Hindi ko napigilan 'yung smile. I quickly typed a response.

And then he sent a screenshot of his homescreen. Kinilig ako of couse! Why wouldn't I? He just made me his cellphone's wallpaper without me asking him to. 

Pero mabilis din nawala 'yung kilig ko. Ugh. I hate  that I notice everything. I hate that I pay attention to every little details. I hate that, no matter how small it is, kitang-kita ko pa rin 'yung widget ng timezone ng Switzerland sa screen ng phone niya. Huh.

I don't know if I should confront him. Baka I'm just making it a big deal, 'no? Maybe he just forgot to remove it. And I really don't want to come out as the crazy, jealous  girl right now so I opted to keeping it to myself na lang. Nakalimutan niya lang alisin 'yon because it was too small for him to notice. For sure, he forgot that he had put it there. Makakalimutin 'yon minsan e.

Still, I couldn't help it nang mawala ako sa mood.

I didn't wait for his reply before I sat down at my couch while waiting for the rolls to bake. Nanood muna ako ng Gilmore Girls, which I doubt I'll understand because my mind's elsewhere. I don't know if I'm just OA, but my hands are shaking din.

Probably because I'm too distracted, mabilis na lumipas 'yung 30 minutes. I tried to calm myself by going back to my cinnamon rolls, but I just messed up putting the glaze, nuts, and cinnamon powder on.

I sighed, a bit disappointed with myself. Ang pangit na kasi nung presentation nito! Not that someone's gonna see it naman. Meron dapat kanina, pero wag na lang papa muna.
