"I am here to get my daughter," she boldly said trying to avoid an eye contact with her soon-to-be-ex husband.

"Daughter? You're getting Athena away from me, Lea? Are you serious? You went here or should I say, you went back after 6 years just to say that to me?" he bantered, madness evident on his eyes that showed tenderness before.

After 6 years of being away from each other, this is their own way of saying hello.

It has been 6 years since that incident happened. Something which made the two of them turn their backs on each other. Something which made Lea leave her daughter, Athena, to Aga.

Lea raised her eyebrows and looked at him, "Don't you remember the reason why I left the country, Aga? You know me, I won't leave something important to me without any reason. In case you have forgotten about it--" she stood up and went near to Aga's table, "I am your wife whom you cheated on."

Aga was a bit surprised with what Lea said. He didn't expect his wife to be like this. Sure she has always been that dragon and the gets mean sometimes but he has never heard her speak this way before.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the product of growing apart.

"Kailan ka pa bumalik?" he asked and didn't even bother to answer her rant. Because he knows that he'll never win with his smartass wife.

Or is she even his property?

"Where's my daughter?" she asked and looked around his office which holds a lot of memories her mind forced to forget.

"Kailan pa naging sagot sa isang tanong ang isa pang tanong?" he asked back as he closed his laptop to fully turn his gaze at his wife.

Oh, how he loves calling her that way.

"Where is my daughter?"

"Your daughter? Inaangkin mo na siya ngayon? Samantalang iniwan mo siya sa akin 6 years ago," Lea could sense the sarcasm through his words.

Of course, he'd say that. And yes, she left her daughter to Aga because he gave her no other choice. As much as she wanted to bring her with her, she didn't want her daughter to bear the pain– but little did she know the pain she caused her the moment she left the house.

They were busy winning a staring contest that they didn't notice the door swinging open already, revealing the girl they've been fighting for.

Shock was evident on their faces as their eyes met each other.

What a beautiful scene it was.

"M-mommy?" Athena uttered. Though her eyes felt a little jelly from surprise, she gathered up all her strength to run towards her mom who welcomed her with open arms.

Apart they were but the connection never lost between the two of them. They would talk via messenger, FaceTime, iMessage, twitter. They would talk everywhere to catch-up.

Aga's heart softened the moment his eyes saw how tight they hugged each other.

"You might wanna join us here, dad? Let's do a group hug!" Athena teased making the two exchange fiery looks.

There was a sudden silence until Athena decided to break the ice.

"Mom, kailan ka pa umuwi?" she asked looking closely at her mom.

She is really here, right in front of her. After six long years, she's back.

"Kanina lang but I went straight here to look for you. Kasi miss na miss na kita, anak," she whispered, cupping her cheek with her soft palms, "Very much."
