Nate's Valentine's day dilemma

Y/N: It's not life if you don't have friends that constantly get on your nerves.

Into the classroom came Y/N's friend Nathan Adams, but we like to call him, Nate.
Y/N: Speaking of getting on my nerves...
Nate: Y/N, I got a serious problem!
Y/N: What's that, Lassie? Little Sally fell down the well?
Nate: This is no time for jokes, this affects you too you know.
Nate pulled out a piece of paper with tape on all the corners that had many names on it.
Y/N: Hey, these are all guys that go to our school.
Nate: One of the girls put it up. It's a list ranking who's the handsomest boy in school and I didn't even come close.
Y/N didn't bother listening to Nate because he was looking at his own rank.
Y/N: Hey, I'm #12. Not bad.
Nate: You're not listening! Do you see what rank I came in?!
The kid checks the paper and it looks like he's #20- No wait he's #36- Nope he's #...wait.
Y/N: Uh, you're not on here, buddy...
Nate: That's the point, I'm not on there! This means no girl in the school finds me even remotely handsome!
Y/N: C'mon that can't be true. I'll show you.
Y/N walks up to two of his friends, Lulu and Alex to see if it was true.
Y/N: Hey girls can I ask you something?
Alex: Sure, Y/N what's up?
Y/N: Do you think Nate's ugly?
Lulu: No of course not you're pretty handsome for your age.
Y/N: Thanks for the compliment Lulu, but I was talking about him.
He points to Nate who just waves. Lulu retreats behind Alex when they see him.
Alex: Er...well...
Y/N: Yeah...
Alex: He's...not so good...?
Nate despairs at her words and sulks with his head down.
Y/N: Okay. Thank you for your time.
Y/N walks back over to Nate having an answer.
Y/N: Well that's that. You are ugly.
Nate: H-Hey! That was only one opinion!
Y/N: Okay, okay. I'll ask someone else...
The boy ungratefully walks over to a girl with purple hair and glasses.
Y/N: Hey...uh...Sorry, What's your name?
??: Oh, it's Hailey.
