Gomti Sadan was buzzing with activity that evening. The entire house was decorated with fairy lights, colorful balloons, diyas(oil lamps), rangoli, with addition to delicious aroma of different delicacies being prepared and the happy laughter of Guptas, Raizadas, and everyone else...Shashi was personally looking after the cake preparation which Garima and Payal were making while bua ji was welcoming the guests.

The birthday girls and their mamma, meanwhile, were getting ready under keen guidance from their doting bhaiyya Chiku and double-doting dad, Arnav!

Khushi had already gotten chiku ready in a cute light-blue kurta with crystals on it and helped arnav who wore a matching one (thankfully his aversion to Kurtis was reduced, at least on special occasions). She usually would get the kids ready at first, sometimes Arnav too, and focus on herself at the last, however, today she was already wearing the saree she intended to wear for the evening. She knew Arnav and the kids loved her in this one!

"Mamma, you are looking very pretty! Like an angel!" Chiku gave the first complement to his mamma who no doubt looked gorgeous in her purple saree with golden borders and a matching blouse. Khushi thanked him by kissing his cheek and then looked at Arnav whose eyes shone in appreciation too making her blush.

This was a very special saree that khushi often wore for kids' birthdays, this was the saree she had worn on Janmashtami some 12 years ago and Nani ji had blessed her and Arnavji to have their own little kanha soon. So, this saree carried those blessings for her being a mother and held special meaning in her heart. So, she often wore it on chiku's and twins' birthdays...

Soon, Piya called chiku to play outside and Arnav too went out to receive a call, leaving Khushi with Aru and pari

Soon, Piya called chiku to play outside and Arnav too went out to receive a call, leaving Khushi with Aru and pari.

Khushi had just given them a facewash and while Lucknow cold was not as bad as Delhi at least in early evening, but the twins slightly shivered while Khushi went to fetch their change of clothes. All the kids had their dresses for the day specially supplied from AR's AHA (Angelic Heart Assn) line, which was launched 2 years ago and was already the leading one in the market...

Meanwhile, Pari and Aru who were sitting on the bed, waiting for their mother, and feeling cold, tried to pull the rajai over their small legs...

Pari frowned at the quilt and mumbled words like, "cold", "blankie, no good (blanket isn't good)" etc.

Arohi, who knew her twin sister's recent habit of talking to non-living objects as if they were living beings, giggled.

Khushi too had overheard Pari say something and came to sit beside them while laying down their outfits on the bed. Picking Pari, she said, "Kya baat kar raha tha hamara baby (What was my baby saying)? Apni maa se bhi baat kar liya karo (Talk to your maa too)."
