Been good and innocent all my life,
look at me now you'd think it's a lie.
Not trying to be a rebel,
just wanna live a little,
but in order to do that,
you'd have to get mad.
I've always followed the rules,
trying to make you proud,
but now I want to go have fun,
and goof around.
Torn between being a good kid or a teenager,
but then you'll be disappointed later.
You only get to be a teenager for so long,
might as well live it,
since the good kid is now gone.
Call me a rebel and say what I do is bad,
but I'm gonna look back and say,
"I enjoyed what I had."
It's not like I'm ruining my life,
I'm just enjoying this time.
i'll keep working hard and doing my best,
though you shouldn't know about the rest.
I can keep on trying to make you proud,
but in order to do that,
it's best I take my secrets to the ground.
