I AM BACK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope no one is giving me a murderous glare right now... Yes, yes I know I haven't updated this.... or any of my stories in a while. Huge writer's block moments and pure laziness were the reasons for that... but anyway I am back and I will try to post the next chapter soon as well! Hope you enjoy it.

As everyone chatted together and laughed, Erumi neatly packed her belongings into a bag, getting ready to go back home. Classes had already ended for the day and the young girl wanted to quietly leave, preferably without being noticed.

There was still much for her to do and assignments for her to finish but more importantly, she just wanted to leave, to be far away from all the hustle and bustle. The students had been so lively since classes ended, their eyes filled with excitement and anticipation, it seemed like everyone was planning a class hangout, everyone was talking about it... talking about where they would meet, where they would go, what they would do...everyone except her, that is, they were ignoring her like the plague. No one wanted to be seen talking to her.

She knew exactly why.

But... she didn't mind, not in the slightest. In fact, she was used to it. She didn't dislike this solitude, it was better than them picking a fight with her....which does occasionally happen. Thankfully, she had mastered the art of not giving a fuck.

Plus, she disliked useless squabbles.

"E-Ru-Mi~"

Before the silverette could turn around, she felt someone hug her from behind, almost knocking her over. With her quick reflexes, she grabbed onto one of the desks and regained her balance then turned around to face the culprit, a certain redheaded girl she knew all too well. "Esuna... how about a warning next time?" Erumi grumbled, "You know I hate it when you do that-" her voice trailed off, a hint of displeasure showing but she soon shook her head.

She considered her friend like family, she thought of her as a sister... she did. However, everyone with siblings knows...

They are annoying.

"What's the fun in that?" Esuna pouted playfully, unaffected by her friend's remark. "If anything, I will be doing this more often to annoy you~" she smirked before letting go, "But anyways, Let's head home together."

In reply, Erumi shook her head, a small smile on her lips despite her cold demeanor. "Have it your way," she adjusted the straps of her backpack and then proceeded to walk side by side with her best and only friend Esuna. "But are you sure? Wouldn't it be better if you hung out with the others?" After a moment of contemplating, she decided to ask. "It seems like they're all planning on going somewhere and I am sure you were probably invited."

In retrospect, Erumi was glad she had a friend like Esuna, she was thankful for her friend in more ways than one. Sure she could be childish and annoying but life would've been ten times harder without the redhead's ridiculous antics. Being around her brightened up her day and made it easier to overcome daily hardships, she was a friend she could count on... and more importantly, she was a friend she cherished.

Not that she'd ever tell her that personally.

"Don't want to," Esuna replied, a frown on her face but she quickly shook it off. "Besides, a hangout without you would be so boring!" She glanced down at Erumi, however, her eyes landed on her injury, blood oozing out between her fingers, soaking her now bandaged arm. "huh... your hand... what happened to it?"

"Ah...." Erumi glanced over at her hand noticing her wound had reopened, she clenched it and moved it behind her, away from sight, "It's nothing, I just accidentally injured it during practice the other day." she mumbled back, avoiding Esuna's concerned gaze, "It should heal soon enough." she reassured her, hoping to ease her worries.
