Zaid held the damp towel and soaked it in the water and gently squeezed it. He gently rubbed the damp towel over her neck. His hands cleaning her neck with a tenderness that no words could describe, then he gently rubbed the damp towel on her forehead. Then he gently held her feet with utmost care and cleaned them tenderly, his touch was delicate, as light as a feather radiating a warmth that seemed to seep deep into her bones.

Zaid palmed his mouth closing his eyes tightly, blinking them again and again to fight the tug of sleep.

As he continued to place damp towels on her forehead soaking them in the water again and again. He looked at her with a soft smile as he continued his work.
A while later after stopping for a moment, he saw a wet hair strand clinging to her cheek. He smiled and reached out, tucking the strand of her hair behind her ear with a gentle touch. He didn't realized when he fell on Mubashira,s stomach letting his heavy eyes flutter close.

The first rays of the sun came in the room, fluttering through the curtains and fell over Mubashira,s face, casting shadows across her features. Mubashira opened the delicate folds of her eyes. She blinked her eyes for a few times to clear her vision.

When her vision cleared, she felt a weight on her stomach and looked ahead. She smiled when she saw Zaid sleeping cutely on her stomach just like a child.

Mubashira smiled feeling a wave of warmth coursing through her vains seeing him sleeping like a baby on her stomach forgetting her fever completely. His head was on her stomach. She couldn't help but feel her heart swell with affection for the man in front of her. Their fingers were interlocked. She couldn't help but smile despite the sense of unease. A wave of warmth washed over her as she watched him sleeping.

She watched as his head rose and fell with each breath she took. A sense of affection overwhelmed her senses. She couldn't help but tear up as the hazy memories of the night flashed across her mind. His open display of care seemed to overwhelm her senses. A mixture of tenderness and affection flooded through her heart as she watched him while he slept like a baby. Soft snores escaping him. She couldn't help but admire him, he looked calm and peaceful, his longs lashes casting gente shadows over his cheekbones and a lock of his black hair fell on his forehead.  She felt her heart overflowing with affection and reached out, her hand stopping for a moment just before his hair. She breathed out. Feeling a surge of courage, she burried her hand in his hair. A sigh of contentment escaped her lips as she ran her fingers through his soft, velvety locks. A sense of belonging washed over her as she ran her fingers though his hair, her touch tender and loving as she sighed marveling the softness of his black, velvety hair. The feeling of his soft hair slipping through her fingers was magical and she couldn't help the soft sigh that escaped her lips.

Zaid stirred, a sleepy hum escaping his lips and Mubashira,s hands stopped as she felt a delicate shiver race down her spine.

Zaid blinked his eyes and Mubashira couldn't help but smile, her eyes shinning with excitement and anticipation. Her heart started beating loudly against her chest in anticipation and excitement that now he'll uplift his head and their eyes will meet.

Her breath caught in her throat as their eyes met.

Assalamualaikum MJ.

Zaid wished her, his sleepy voice was making her heart race. Suddenly his eyes went wide in alarm and he palmed his mouth.

Oh no I slept.

Zaid said slapping a hand on his forehead, his voice tinged with sleepiness and a hint of self accusation.

He reached out, concern etched across his features as he placed a hand on her forehead making her breath hitch.

Hash...

He sighed in relief pulling his hand back.

No fever but still check ker lete hain.

Zaid said reaching out for the thermometer.

Zaid relax.

Mubashira said softly, touched by his concern. She reached out and held his hand gently.

She smiled tenderly, her hand reached up and she cradled his cheek. He closed his eyes as a delicate shiver raced down his spine.

I'm fine.

She said softly causing him to open his eyes. He smiled at her gently cupping her cheek making her breath hitch.

I know. But you'll rest today aaj Sunday hai so no kaam only araam.

Zaid said softly, his voice holding a hint of concern and tenderness.

Dawai leni hai tumhein wait...

Zaid said and hurried out of the room before Mubashira could say anything.

Yeh Zaid hi hai na?

She wondered out loud, still trying to process the new change in him.

Zaid came back after some minutes with a glass of milk in his hand.

Yeh kya hai?

Mubashira asked looking at the glass of milk.

Doodh hai.

Zaid said softly holding the glass of chocolate milk.

But chocolate wala kyun?

Mubashira asked confused.

Kya hai na meri pyaari biwi.

Zaid stopped and sat beside her on the stool not realizing that he had called her Meri Pyaari biwi while Mubashira,s heart seemed to stop beating. Her eyes want wide before she felt her cheeks turning warm.

Aapko main bachpan se janta hoon and I know ke aapko doodh flavor wala chahiye hota hai.

He added softly forwarding her the glass of milk but before that he made her eat the bitter pill and then she drank the milk.
