Joe

"Hey Caspar," I said.

"Morning Joe," He replied in his morning voice. It sounded so sexy. Obviously I would never tell him that.

There are certain things I know I must keep from telling Caspar, such as my growing feelings for him. I wasn't trying to ruin the strong friendship we had, so I remained silent about the matter and hoped he didn't notice.

We do everything together, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way. Losing him due to my feelings seems unimaginable, so I kept my mouth shut and my feelings to myself.

After Caspar asked me about my weekly video and his morning voice had faded, he asked me if I wanted to film with him. I didn't do a great job with containing my excitement.

I know I should be used to us making videos together, but it still blows my mind that Caspar, the funniest person I have ever met, is asking me to be on his channel.

From my room where I was changing, I heard Caspar mumbling to himself. As I was in the middle of brushing my hair and putting on my new sweatshirt, I heard him yell, "Joe? I need to go to the Apple Store to get my laptop fixed! I will see you soon!" I groaned internally; I hate being home alone, so I made sure to stop him before he left. I could have stayed home and edited, but Caspar is more important than any YouTube video.

When we got to the Apple Store, the first thing I noticed was the boy at the front counter looking at me and Caspar with wide eyes. I gave the boy a wave as we walked in the doors.

The boy, Brett, as it said on his name tag, was very helpful. He promised Caspar a fixed computer by tomorrow, but I couldn't help but notice how every time he looked at Caspar his eyes lit up. I became a little jealous, but ignored it.

Brett was attractive, no doubt. His brown curls sat gently on his forehead, and his black, wide-rimmed glasses on his nose. His blue eyes could be visible from far away, and he was skinny. However, no amount of brown curls or nerdy glasses could ever compare to the boy next to me with floppy blonde hair and bright green eyes. I looked at Caspar and smiled, feeling lucky that I had this boy in my life.

As long as I had Caspar, I was happy.

Caspar left his computer at the Apple Store so it could get fixed by the professionals over night. When we got home, Caspar and I sat on the couch, and he fell asleep right next to me as I edited. I was considering waking him up and talking to him about how I felt towards him in the moment, but again, I didn't want to ruin anything. I also would never want to miss an opportunity to take long glances at him without him noticing.
