R.E.D Chapter 6

                                The Prince

Grim replied to me with "Well no not really if you want we could just go hang out wait what's going on princess are you ok" then I said "can't tell you rn tell you when I get there" "something's definitely going on I'm coming over princess" "wait no you can't come over my dad's home and he has guards near the front door so they might see you" "number one fuck your dad number two I'm lucky you're dad isn't the smartest person in the world cuz who just puts guards only at the front door sorry not sorry princess" "no need to apologize and ya you have a good point but how are you even going to get to the back of the palace I mean there's basically a whole forest covering it" "umm it's not like trees are deadly I'll just walk through it princess" "fare point just don't get lost" "ok enough chitchatting I got to go get me a princess" "ok just be careful" "I promise princess". Now that Grim was coming to go get me I had to figure out a plan on how to get down from my balcony then I had to figure out another plan just in case Grim got lost in the woods but luckily I know this woods like the back of my hand because me and my mom used to go inside the woods almost every day we even made a treehouse inside the woods just for me and her but after she died I couldn't bring myself to ever go back into that tree house, and I also had to figure out a plan on how to tell Grim about the arranged marriage I mean I have to eventually right? I found a rope in my closet from when the first time me and mom tried to build a swing for the treehouse and it went horribly wrong and the entire swing discombobulated but it was long enough for me to use to get down from the balcony without getting hurt well I mean kind of I scraped my knee a little but I'm ok, after a few minutes of waiting for Grim he texted me "umm hey so princess you remember when I said I wouldn't get lost in the forest well umm funny story" "you got lost yup thought so don't worry I'll come to get you in a bit do you know where you are" "umm not really oh wait I found a treehouse do you know where that is princess" "oh ya I know exactly where that is hold tight I'm coming for you" "ok see ya there princess". I saw the treehouse it was basically four steps ahead of me but it felt like it was so far away, then it was as if time was frozen in place I promised myself I would never come back to this treehouse because I mad I was so mad that no one did anything to save her no one not even myself her own daughter couldn't help her. The guards wouldn't even let me be anywhere near her and when I did sneak away from them and got to my mother she looked so pale and sad every time I walked into that room she'd say "oh how's my beautiful baby girl doing" until she stopped I woke up super early one morning before any of the guards had known I even came out of my room I opened the door to my mother's bedroom and I closed it on my way in as usual but instead of being greeted with "oh how's my beautiful baby girl doing" I was greeted with silence I thought maybe she was just asleep because she had been getting more tired around those times but even when I went up to her bed and tried to wake her up there was nothing but silence that came out of my mother's mouth. "Mama, mama wake up stop messing around (I tried to poke ,pinch ,pull on her clothes I tried everything to wake her up, she felt colder and looked paler than usual had no one come to check on her) mama I'm serious stop this isn't funny you need to wake up your scarring me mama come on (I tried to sake her to get her up but it didn't work) hold on wait here mama I'll be right back" I didn't know what to do I was just a kid I ran out of my moms room there were tears running down my face as I dashed through the hallways of the palace looking for help and I ran into one of the guards and said "*sniffle* my mama she she's not waking up *sniffle* and she's really cold and pale but I *sniffle* I don't know what to do" then the guard responded with "ok hold on princess"(then he said on his walkie-talkie) code 17 Mike" "what's code 17 is my mama ganna be ok" "oh it's nothing important and ya your mama's going to be fine" "ok I hope you're not lying" ,he was lying soon enough the paramedics had got to the palace and the rest is history.

Then I got a text from Grim that said "hey did you get lost too princess cuz if you did then we're screwed" "no I'm actually really in front of the treehouse" "oh ok ya I see you" "really cuz I don't see you anywhere" then I felt a little tap on my shoulder then I heard in a whispery voice near my ear "hi princess" I squealed a little then Grim started to laugh "oh shut up (then it started to rain a little) come on let's get going before the rain gets worse" "why don't you want to go into the treehouse at least a little princess" he gave me the cutest smile then I finally gave in "*sigh* fiNnE" "CoMe oN leTs gO pRinCEsS" then Grim grabbed my hand and we started to skipping to the treehouse. We climbed up the ladder when we walked into the treehouse Grim said "Dam this place is a little dusty and messy but it's still pretty big for a treehouse" "ya well now you mention it I guess me and mom did do a pretty good job" "no way princess you and your mom got to build this together god I wish me and my mom had something to bond over anyway enough about me how come you've never told me about the treehouse princess" "I don't know I guess it just never came to mind, but my mom did most of the work she was in love with this treehouse and she thought I was too but to me going to this treehouse with her was never about the treehouse it was about being able to hang out with my mom". I felt tears staring to roll down my face but I couldn't let Grim see me like this so I wiped the tears away and looked up at Grim "but it's not really that important, the rain seems to be getting a little less heavy" that was another problem I would have to tell Grim about that prince soon. Then Grim said "princess you can cry I know what happened to the quee- sorry your mom and it's fucked it was a tragedy for a whole nation and what your father did after was disgraceful so it's ok if you cry (he tilted my head up a little and wiped away the tear that was rolled down my face) because I'll always be there for you no matter what happens princess" then Grim pulled me into a hug and I started crying more than I expected then Grim lead his head on mine and said "is there anything else I need know because there's something else that's bothering you and I know it got something to do with your dad am I right come on tell me before you cry deprive yourself a-again princess" then I pulled away from Grim and said "how in the world did you know are you some sort of mind reader or something" "no not really I mean there's was a long line of mind readers in my family but that's not the reason I think that it's mostly because most of your problems revolve your dad princess" "that's far" "anyway what's going on princess" "umm my dad arranged a marriage for me and some prince" Grim looked visibly upset did that really make him that upset "well do you like him princess" "what no of course not I don't even know him besides I have eyes for someone else" I don't know if I was just going crazy or I had actually heard Grim say "good" under his breath after I said that "and who's this mysterious person who you have eyes for your majesty" "oh hey look the rain stop" "princess don't doge my question" "that's confidential information, my lips are sealed" "oh come on at least give me a clue princess" "fine, you know him very well" "very well?", said Grim with a confused look on his face. "Ya", I said. There was silence I felt like I was floating staring into his dazzling blue eyes, I heard a loud voice yell out "Madelyn!" I guess my father found out I left my room but when he yelled out my name I felt a feeling of being taken away from something I held dear to me it was such a familiar feeling but this time it was almost like I was stabbed I the chest....weird.
