Part 5: how things go

3rd POV

When the six of them finally got back to the house they noticed a couple of cards and small boxes on the kitchen counter. They were all curious to see what was that about. 

"Whats this" asked Alexia

"And where did it come from" asked Zarra "Did someone break in?'

Jackson replied, "It's probably from the person who created this whole challenge"

"Oh yeah" said Zarra "That seems obvious" 

And just as they thought, it was from the challenge maker, it said so on the outside of one of the letters. 

Hello fellow challengers

Did you enjoy your first night? I hope so

Inside of these boxes are individual cards for everyone of you, since you will be living like adults its also best that you also learn the way adults handle their lives. For those of you who do not have jobs you will just get paid for the hours you go to school. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. If you have after school clubs or anything like that then it will act as if overtime, getting paid half  of your regular pay for each extra hour. You will get paid by hour depending on what grade you are in, just for it to be fair. For those of you who have a job, just transfer your pay into your card. You will be using these cards while you are still in the challenge. If you withdraw from this challenge just return the card and be on your way. 

Enjoy the next few, well.... who knows how long this challenge will last.

Well, now they know how things are going to go money wise. All of the boring information like bills and stuff was in a separate letter. Each one of these grabbed their boxes with their names on it.

"Wait" said Harley "So if we are in school we get paid by our grade? Does that mean I'll get paid 11 dollars an hour? And then 5.5 dollars for my after school clubs?"

"I guess so, Jackson and I will get paid 12 dollars an hour" Zarra said as Jackson nodded

Ash replied, "I'll also get paid 12 dollars an hour"

"Kenji and I already have jobs and I haven't started college yet so i guess we will just transfer our paychecks into our new cards" said Alexia

"Wait I also have an afternoon job" said Ash "what do i do with that money?'

Alexia replied "I guess you will also transfer that money into your new card"

After talking about all the boring stuff Alexia decided to go grocery shopping, it was still only Saturday so no one had anything to do, Kenji tagged along. Everyone wrote down their likes, dislikes and allergies on a piece of paper so that they could be on their way. 

Alexia's POV

We had received new cards to use while in the challenge, so Kenji and I decided to go grocery shopping since there was no food. As we were walking to the car I tossed Kenji his keys. 

"You're driving" I said

"Of course" he replied "its my job" 

I didn't mind driving but I loved being his passenger princess, as a matter of fact I love being his girlfriend. He is such a good boyfriend to me, he is such a gentleman, and he is always so sweet to me- I mean he does throw in a little bullying in there but i enjoy it. I feel so happy being with him, and now that we are not only living together but sharing a room together i just keep wondering how it will all go.
