There are a couple of references to this movie in Batman.
For one thing, Alan Napier, who plays Alfred, did the voice for the royal messenger in The Sword in the Stone.
It's also referenced in the Batman movie in the scene where Batman and Robin figure out the yacht disappeared because it was a projection.
When he sees the picture, Robin says "Holy Merlin the magician! Get set for a shock!"
