I regret it now. I have a bad feeling about it.

'Espera! A picture!' Ruby's mom told us, making us stand next to eachother as she blinded us with her camera.

'Ay, que lindos' she gushed, looking at the picture.

'Come on, Ruby. Help you dad pack the car' she told her son before going out the door with the twins.

'I do need help' Ruby's dad chuckled, before looking serious again as the door closed.

'With your mother. Not the car' he said, making me chuckle lightly.

'Give me a minute' Ruby told his dad. 'If Latrelle's not dead, doesn't that make you vulnerable?' Monse whispered to Cesar and I.

'It's handled' I told Ruby and Monse sternly. 'And we never talk about it again' I tol the three kids. 'Understood?' I asked them, making them nod their heads.

'Now this is Olivia's day, and if I were you, I'd be more worried about those dance steps' I told them all, making them smile lightly.

''Ruby! Por favor' Ruby's mom gave him the mom look, making him come directly to her.

'We have a party to get to' I told Cesar and Monse. I went back to Angel as I saw her outside, looking bored out of her mind.

'So, tell me' Angel began as she passed me the blunt. We were standing across the street from Ruby's house as everyone was getting everything ready.

'What's going on?'

'Nothing, what do you mean?' I asked her, playing dumb and taking a hit.

'There's something going on, I can tell' Angel told me. 'I'm your best friend, i know when something's up'

'There's nothing going on, Angel' I told her, keeping my eyes on the house in front of us.

'Elijah texted me earlier' she said softly, making me look at her. 'You haven't been talking a lot to him either'

'I'm just busy' I shrugged, passing her the blunt.

I haven't been texting Elijah a lot. I feel like shit. Angel and him are one of the only people I trust with anything. Knowing me, I would've told them everything by now.

But that's not a good or safe idea. It's best to keep them both as far away from my problems as I can.

'Dani-' 'I'm good, Angel' I interrupted her, passing her the blunt. There was an awkward vibe now.

'Ruby is gonna hate us when he smells the weed on us' Angel chuckled, breaking the tension immediately and making me laugh out loud.

'Oh shit' I chuckled as we saw Ruby open the door. Angel quickly hit the blunt before he could see it. 'Come on!' He yelled at us, waving us inside.

'He's gonna kill us'

'We're twenty minutes and counting from the presentation, and after a little second hand high, I'm starting to chill' Ruby told us as we all stood in front of him in the living room.

Ruby sniffed the air, coming closer to us before giving Angel and I a strict look. 'You guys couldn't go one day?' He exclaimed, making him stressed again.

'We're gonna do a little improvising' he said, making me roll my eyes. 'I swear, they're gonna get stuck up there one day' Angel said, making us both chuckle.

'Monse, Angel and Dani,  remember, the walking pas de bourrée we were gonna incorporate into the dance?' He asked her, making us scoff. 'No'

'We're gonna do those so we can give Olivia and Cesar a proper entrance without the carriage'
