"I'm just saying, Kev," Kameron said, closing the door to her brother's car as Kevin locked the doors. The siblings began walking towards the school entrance, the crisp air nipping at their cheeks. Kameron's voice carried a mix of excitement and uncertainty.

"I know what I heard from the kitchen," she continued, her voice filled with conviction. "According to Mom and Grandma Turner, we were born into a powerful-ass bloodline of witches female and male. You're a witch, and I'm a psychic witch."

Kameron glanced up at her brother, searching for a spark of understanding in his eyes. "Are you even listening to me?" she asked, a touch of frustration lacing her words.

"I don't have a choice," Kevin replied, his voice tinged with resignation. As they walked, his gaze remained fixed on the path ahead.

"What do you think all of this means?" Kameron asked her voice laced with curiosity.

"Grandma needs to be in a nursing home," Kevin responded, with a hint of sarcasm. "Listen, Kam, there's no such thing as witches," he stated matter-of-factly, his tone leaving little room for doubt.

"I know but wouldn't it be cool." Kevin shrugged his shoulders in response. From the corner of her eyes, Kameron saw her best friend Taylor DeSantis stepping out of her mom's old car. She sped and walked towards her leaving her brother behind.
