After the long game in the locker room, Dani, Quince, Jack, Luke, and Italy decided to continue the festivities at a nearby bar with the rest of the team. The atmosphere was lively, with music pulsing through the air and the chatter of patrons filling the room.

As they settled into a corner booth, Dani's attention was immediately drawn to a guy across the room. He had brown eyes that seemed to sparkle with mischief and brown hair that tousled in a carefree manner. There was an easy confidence in the way he carried himself, and Dani found herself captivated by his presence.

She watched from the bar waiting to get drinks as the guy approached Quince, Italy, and the rest of their group, seamlessly inserting himself into their conversation with a friendly smile and a casual charm. He laughed along with their jokes and shared stories as if they were old friends, effortlessly blending into their circle.

Dani couldn't tear her gaze away as she observed the guy from across the room. She felt a flutter of excitement in her chest, mixed with a tinge of nervousness. She knew she shouldn't let herself get too carried away, but there was something about him that drew her in like a magnet.

Dani found herself engaged in conversation with Quince and Italy, but her thoughts kept drifting back to the mysterious guy at the bar. She couldn't shake off the feeling of curiosity and intrigue that he sparked within her.

"Hey, Dani, are you okay?" Italy's voice broke through Dani's reverie, snapping her back to reality.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Dani replied with a forced smile, hoping to mask her distraction.

Italy raised an eyebrow, a knowing look in his eyes. "You seem a bit...distracted. Is something on your mind?"

Dani hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to articulate the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her. "It's nothing, really. Just...thinking about stuff," she mumbled, avoiding Italy's gaze.Quince glanced between Dani and Italy, sensing the tension in the air.

"Alright, well, if you need to talk about anything, we're here for you," she said reassuringly.

Dani nodded gratefully, grateful for her friends' support. She turned her attention back to the conversation at hand, trying to push aside her thoughts of the guy at the bar.

But try as she might, Dani couldn't shake off the magnetic pull he had on her. Every time she glanced in his direction, their eyes would meet, and she could feel her heart skip a beat. It was as if they shared an unspoken connection, a silent understanding that transcended words.

As the night wore on and the bar grew more crowded, Dani found herself inching closer to the guy at the bar, drawn by an irresistible urge to be near him. She watched as he laughed and joked with her friends, his brown eyes twinkling with mischief.

As the night progressed and the bar grew more crowded, the atmosphere became infused with the rhythmic pulse of music and the hum of animated conversation. The low lighting cast a warm glow over the room, illuminating clusters of patrons gathered around tables and the bar.

Dani and her friends still settled in the cozy corner booth, their laughter mingling with the ambient noise of the bar. The air was thick with excitement and anticipation, the promise of a memorable night hanging tantalizingly in the air.

As Dani glanced around the bar, her eyes landed on the guy with the brown eyes and brown hair once again. He was engaged in lively conversation with his friends, his easy smile and infectious laughter drawing her in like a moth to a flame.

Unable to resist the pull of curiosity, Dani found herself inching closer to the bar, her heart racing with anticipation. She watched from afar as the guy laughed and joked with his friends, his brown eyes twinkling with mischief.

Taking a deep breath to steady her nerves, Dani approached the bar, the thrum of excitement coursing through her veins. She caught the bartender's eye and ordered a drink, her hands trembling ever so slightly with nervous anticipation.

As she waited for her drink, Dani couldn't tear her gaze away from the guy at the bar. There was something about him that intrigued her, something she couldn't quite put into words. Maybe it was the way he carried himself with an easy confidence, or the warmth and sincerity in his brown eyes.

Before she knew it, Dani found herself standing beside him at the bar, her heart pounding in her chest. "Hi," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

The guy turned to her, a warm smile lighting up his face. "Hey," he replied, his brown eyes crinkling at the corners with genuine warmth. "I'm glad you came over. I've been wanting to talk to you all night."

And you stood there in front of me just
Close enough to touch
Close enough to hope you couldn't see
What I was thinking of
