"You don't understand, Mary!" he screamed. "My heart hurts! I can feel it beating inside my body!"

"Damon, I think it's okay to feel it," Mary started gently. "It would be weird if you..."

Damon, who was sitting in the corner, stood and suddenly appeared in front of the blonde. Mary felt her legs shaking, feeling the heaviness of Damon's presence. The air itself fell apart. The atmosphere was filled with fear and pressure.

Damon took her chin with his thumb and index fingers, looked into her eyes, and whispered, "I can't feel love, but my hands feel only the warmth of her body. I can't feel happiness, but my heart fills with those weird emotions when she's smiling. I can't feel pain, but my hands hurt once I think she's on someone else's side. I can't feel, but I feel her."

His eyes were filled with tears, but those drops of salty water would stick around the pupil and never leave.

"My heart is beating loudly, breaking the silence, not because of her."

"Do you really believe in it?"

"I want to."
