chapter 10 the prom continued

It was 2 days before prom. I was standing at my locker when I heard the clicking of heels from behind me, and suddenly, a set of arms wrapped around me. "Hey, Archiekins." A soft, sweet voice said I knew who it was. I imidideintly turned around and wrapped my arms back around her it was cheryl "hey good looking." I said with a big smile
"I have some big news for you."
I looked at her curiously. "What is it?
"So I spoke to the prom committee we would like for you to sing a couple of songs for us."
Without hesitation, I said "yes I would love to."
"Yay!". She said excitedly
(Time skip)
We were at those cheryl was already upstairs. I come up stairs , and I went up to speak to her about prom per her request
"What's up?" I said, curious about what she wanted to talk about
"So, have you got a tux for prom?".
I looked at her shocked. "Oh crap I forgot, I'm sorry." I said
She put her hand on my face. "Don't be sorry, I haven't gotten my dress either." With 2 days left till prom
"Well, how about this tomorrow we get up and head to town and get them?"
I said.
"That sounds good Archiekins".
I leaned in and kissed her and lsyed down next to me as she hugged up to me
(Time skip to the next morning)
"Good morning beautiful". I said, kissing her on the forehead
"Good morning, Archiekins," she said, running her hands through my hair
We got up and got ready
"You ready to go?" I said
"Yep." She said
We got in the car and headed town we entered the clothing store I imidideintly found a nice red tux and I went back and got fitted cheryl and went and began to look ofc I got mine fitted and bought but couldn't let each other see what we got "you find what you wanted"
I asked cheryl "yep but I can't show you yet." I laughed "ok"
"So have you decided what songs you're singing?".
"Yep, one was written just for you."
She smiled down. I got a sneak peak?".
I laughed. Nope, u gotta wait. "
She laughed. " Dang you archie."
I just laughed because I knew it was killing her. "
We went back home. "I'm hungry, Archie." I looked at her and ran my hand through her hair "ok I'll cook supper." She smiled. "Thank you Archiekins your the best."
I just laughed at that because I'm nothing special. "I'm just doing what I can for you."
She smiled "I really appreciate you in every way I'm gonna start showing you that more" I smiled because she was absolutely amazing and I didn't deserve her "just you being here is enough for me". I said as I cooked dinner.
(Time skip to after dinner)
"Thank you, Archiekins, for supper."
"Of course, anything for you."
"We should probably head to bed prom is tomorrow." She said excitedly
"Ok." We headed to bed
The next day was a long day spent prepping for prom we spent all day getting ready in different parts of the house so we could surprise each other with our choices on clothes
I walked into the living room. "Are you ready cheryl". I holer upstairs.
I hear the sound of heels coming down the stairs and there she was in a beautiful bright red dress with black lace, her hair flowed down to one side her shoulder, she had the most beautiful red lipstick on.
"Wow, you look absolutely beautiful tonight. How did I get so lucky? "..
I said with a big smile.
"Thank you,Archiekins, you look extra handsome tonight, red does suit you,and I'm the lucky one here." She side I saw a tear form I imidideintly wiped away " hey, don't cry I'm right here and I'm definitely not going anywhere".I said with a smile.
"Come on, I got the car all warmed up."I said, grabbing her hand
(Timeskip to the prom)
We got out of the car and walked up to the prom we met up with betty and Jughead "wow u guys look great." Betty said.
"You guys don't look so bad yourself."
I said, opening the door for them ..
We took our pictures and went to the dance floor as Josie and the pussycats played. I looked at cheryl "wanna dance". She kinda chuckled, "You can dance." I smiled and took her hand and began to sway back and forth. We danced back and forth until I heard Josie say, "Now let's give a warm welcome to our guest singer tonight, Archie Andrew's." Everyone began to clap
"Thanks for having me, you guys. This song I wrote for a special person is called only you

I ended the song and looked over at cheryl she was crying, "yall grab your partners and hang on for this one. I began to sing kids in Americ."

I ended that song everyone was cheering
"Thanks, guys, for having me. I'm gonna turn it back over to Josie."
I walked back down to cheryl. " What did you think?" I said, smiling
"That was beautiful Archiekins. I don't deserve you." She said, crying. I wrapped my arms back around her and began to dance again.
"It's time to announce the king and queen of tonight's prom." I heard our principal say, "Our prom queen is cheryl blossom." Everyone was cheering for her as she walked up on stage. "Now it's time for the prom king who will dance with this lovely young lady." He said
"Our prom king is Archie Andrew's,"
He said Jughead slapped me on the "go on man, that's you." I steeped up on stage and looked at cheryl "congrats beautiful". I tuned around. "I'd like to share this dance with a couple of my best friends." The principal nodded. "betty, Jughead, Veronica, come on up." Wr stood up on stage as the last song of the night played we dance for another hour. "Let's go to pops you guys." I said smiling, they all agreed, so we went to pops "what can I get for you lovely bunch?"we will all have a vanilla shake. "
Pop tate nodded. we all drank our shakes and went home from having such a wonderful night.
