Vaerie stood against the railing of her balcony, soft wind blowing through her blond hair
She loved coming out here whenever she just needed a break from whatever was happening inside
With four other siblings, it can really get hecktic sometimes
It was even more diffuclt when she felt as if she was the black sheep of the family, all four of her siblings werent in the spotlight, granted they were young but when she was younger she was alredy starring in movies and going to red carpets
She felt as if she couldn't relate to them in any way, alwasy busy with work and never had any time for her family or friends
With such a busy schedule, Valerie started distancing herself from all her friends, only really speaking to her best friend Xochitl, but even by her, she never felt fully understood
Growing up in the spotlight and being the eldest daughter of the 'Best hollywood couple' was extremely difficult even if everyone thought it was the 'dream'
Most of the media have always had an opinion on her. If it was her clothes, body, and acting, anything she could do never went unoticed, and they alwasy seemed to criticize her for it
She's always balmed her parents for it. She knew it was stupid, but she almost kept it like a grudge as if her parents were to blame for her terrible reputation online. They tried to help or even speak up about it, but it never worked
It was something that Valerie couldnt escape it was on her mind all the time, she couldnt post a simple picture of herself without it trending on twitter with thousands of people commenting either calling her ugly or saying things they could defiently not be saying about a thirteen year old
All her thoughts were cut short by her mom sliding open the door
"Hey you okay, Inez said you went and locked yourself in your bedroom," Her mom Blake said
Now, it's not that she didn't like her mom. Obviously, she loved her, but the constact rivary made by everyone almost made Valerie dislike her
There were alwasy these comments comparing the two on their acting and beaty, and her mom always won. It felt like anything Valerie tried doing it was never enough
She tried doing different types of movies, and they all said shes chaning too much
She went back to doing more similar role, they all said shes boring and can't do anything other than acting
She wrote a song called ' No time to die ', they all said she couldn't sing
She litrelly couldn't win
"Yeah, mom, I'm fine." Valerie looked away from her mom back to the beautiful garden in front
"Are you sure? You know you can always talk to me?" Her mom now stood next to her
"Yeah, I'm fine." Valerie rolled her eyes, stepping away from her mom and going back into her room
"Well, okay, but there's someone who wants to speak to you downstaris on zoom, your dad already set it up,"
That quickly got Valeries attention spinning around to look at her mom
"Who is it?"
"How about you go and find out?" Her mom grinned
Valerie was now running downstairs bumping into James on accident
She was now in the kitchen where she saw her dad with his laptop
She's always been more of a daddys girl, mostly due to the fact her and her dad bascially shared humor and worked on movies together before
'Hey, sweetie. " He kindly smiled before placing his laptop on the counter
Valerie walked fowards seeing the director of the show she audtioned for on the sreen with some other people as well
"Hey Valerie, great to finally see you, I have some great new actually we have decided that you will make a great Ivy Hunter!"
And with that, she screamed of joy running straight to hug her dad, who was filming the whole thing
Tears quickly rolled down her cheeks of pure happiness
"Thank you so so so much!" Valerie turned herself to face the sreen
"No, thank you. Out of every kid we looked at, you were the most impressive. The actual writer of Percy Jackson hand picked you,"
Valerie couldn't believe this. She has been such a fan of the books, having read all of them at least three times, and being able to act as one of the main characters was something she will remember forever
"I alredy talked with your aprents about filming, we start in two weeks but the first few days will probobly will just be us getting to know each other but you will be pleased to know that someone you alredy know is actually going to be playing your main sreen partner"
This shocked Valrie since she doesn't really know anyone who is her age and does acting
